Kwentong OFW in Kuwait: The Struggles and the Triumphs

Barok and Takya Bisaya Podcast: a Filipino Pinoy Podcast

Jul 18 2022 • 44 mins

OFWs often feel isolated and alone, especially when they're thousands of miles away from their families.

OFWs are the unsung heroes of the Philippines. They are some of the most hardworking and resilient people in the world. They face challenges and struggles that most of us can only imagine daily. But they don't give up. They keep fighting for their families and their dreams. They leave their families and homes to work in foreign countries, often in difficult and dangerous conditions, to provide a better life for their loved ones. Yet, they are often invisible - distant family members only hear about the good times, the remittances that help to pay for school fees and put food on the table. But Filipino OFW also face many challenges, as our guest, Juna Langgam explains in this Kwentong OFW episode of Barok and Takya Bisaya Podcast. From homesickness, isolation, and missing out on important family events, OFWs sacrifice a lot for their families. But they also gain strength and resilience from their experiences, as Juna describes. Her story is an inspiration to OFWs everywhere. They are strong, determined, and passionate people who deserve our respect and admiration. Thank you, OFWs, for everything that you do!

Barok and Takya Bisaya Podcast provides a powerful platform for OFW Pinoy to share their stories and experiences. This Kwentong OFW episode offers much-needed insight into the lives of OFWs and will hopefully inspire others to support them. Thank you for listening!
