India has 35 millions street dogs. Some call them Pariahs, others call them Indies and these clever, beautiful, soulful animals are a feature of life everywhere in the sub-continent. In the Mahabharat, King Yudisthira refuses to go to heaven if he can't bring his dog. Fear them or love them, the Indian street dog is India.
