This week Bryan sits down with the Co-Founder and CEO of Renew Birmingham, Gerrel Jones, to hear his incredible story of redemption. Gerrel was convicted of murder and given a life sentence. God saved him while he was in prison and he began to mentor other inmates, giving him a sense of purpose in what appeared to be a never ending prison sentence. In an unbelievable twist of fate it would be the family member of a white supremacist who helped Gerrel, a black man, get out. This story will have you on the edge of your seat. Gerrel goes on to talk about a ministry he started with the help of a Birmingham businessman that empowers residents to get invested in their own revitalization.
