History was made last night at the Cairo International Stadium when Gambia defeated seven time winners Nigeria in the semifinals of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations yesterday to qualify for the competition's final.

They face Senegal in the final on Saturday, the Young Terangas defeated Tunisia 3-0 at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia to qualify for their fourth final.

I had a chat with Gambian sports journalist Amadou Tamba about this Gambian side that also finished the third two years in Mauritania and Gambian football in general.
