Reclaimed & Rewritten

Jan 26 2022 • 41 mins

In this episode, Clarkisha explores the impact and effects of the New Cross Fire, which killed 13 young black people at a party in south-east London in 1981. Through talking to one of the survivors, Wayne Haynes, and community activist Tony Warner, we learn about the fire, the lack of interest from the authorities, and the first Black People’s Day of Action in the UK.
