In this episode I get to talk with Alan, a South African story teller who loves sharing his knowledge of historical events. During our conversation, he shares why a thorough understanding of history is essential to knowing what actually happened in the past. We also talk about the indigenous people of South Africa, including the Khoi-San, Xhosa, and Zulu. He even tried to teach me how to speak a language that relies heavily on clicks! Using lessons from their culture and heritage, he shared why it’s important to learn from history.
