It's time for our annual event ' State of The City' and on this Episode, Carol is joined by our very own Mayor of Encinitas Tony Kranz. We dive into the rich history that Mayor Kranz, as a Encinitas local, has with the city and the surrounding communities. Carol and Mayor Kranz also discuss the purpose of our upcoming event, hosted at the Encinitas Community Center, 'State of The City' on April 27th as well as the various programs the City of Encinitas and The Chamber of Commerce are hosting with the intention of making the city the best it can be.

Support your community! The 2023 Encinitas State of the City address will be held at the Encinitas Community Center on Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 – 8pm. This important community event will feature Mayor Tony Kranz delivering his "City of Creators" address about the City’s current status and his vision for its future. This special evening is an annual sell-out with 300+ in attendance.

The night presents a perfect chance for you to network and connect with the movers and shakers of the community and others with shared interests while enjoying tasty bites from local eateries.

ABOUT Mayor Tony Kranz

Tony Kranz moved to Encinitas, California, as a baby in 1960 and spent his youth involved in sports and the graphic arts and enjoying the beautiful Pacific Ocean shoreline. He graduated from San Dieguito High School in 1977 and attended college at Palomar and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.

Following college, Tony moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and served as an air traffic controller in the Army National Guard. He also spent seven years living in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

In 1985, Tony married his wife Cynthia, another long-time Encinitas resident. They have three children: James, Brian and Stephanie. Tony still enjoys sports as a life-long fan of the Padres and continues his work in the graphic arts with photography and printing sales.
