Choose to Dream

In today's episode, I describe my strategies for success in marketing MARA brand using Instagram. Offering highly effective practical steps, I will actually share  a "Not-To-Do" list for those who have some form of content or hobby and want to get known for it on Instagram.

Key Takeaways:

❏    The first point to note is "Stop separating your work and Life accounts". This is especially because you are the same person both at work and in other aspects of life; you have the same values, interests, and drive. Sharing all of this in one place helps people to know you better, and this attracts more clients; even friends will become customers when both are merged on one page.

Stop hunting for a lot of likes or followers because it doesn't necessarily get converted into money, rather, do what you like and what interests your audience.

❏    Next, Stop waking up to your phone. Before you open your social media or check your phone first in the morning, go about your other morning activities first to set your mood right. All the people and activities on Instagram can be quite overwhelming for the mind right out of bed, which is bad for mental health.

❏    So, no rule says you must always post at a specific time. Based on years of my research, it doesn't make any major difference in the outcome of the post. Don't just post and ghost; even at the best time, if people respond or give feedback on your posts but you are not there to respond, then it doesn't matter.

❏    Recounting the experience of losing a previous Instagram account with 60k followers, I emphasize the need to have a backup account; Such an account would contain very similar information with a similar name to the main one so that it can serve the function of keeping a second record of activities on the main account. 2 years since the loss of that account, I has used these same methods to build another page from scratch now to 30k followers.

❏    Your stories are the most important part of your Instagram feed for your raving fans. This puts your fans in a position where they know something about your life, however, posting stories nonstop is not a good idea. People would scroll through your stories at some point and your statistics on Instagram will drop; this will then be interpreted by Instagram as people not being interested in your content. As a result, your content will be moved to the very back of the feed of your followers. Instead of posting nonstop, take a few hours or days off, then start fresh with a first post that is something valuable to your audience.

Avoid posting only your work. Stand out and share your goals and values out there.

❏    Keep in mind that Instagram was not originally made to be a sales platform.

❏    If your posts don't get any feedback, ask your audience what they want to see, because they are in the best position to tell you.

❏    For those who may be worried about having time to create and post content, it often takes just a few minutes to take pictures and create content randomly throughout the day and then at a convenient time, post them. It is pivotal as part of a means of maximizing Instagram as a tool to market yourself.
