Lamb’s Ear

Stachys byzantina

Appearance: The Lamb’s Ear is a low-lying plant  with thick light green leaves covered in soft hairs. Their flowers bloom in spikes and are white, light pink, or light purple.

The origin of this plant’s name is obvious: the pale furry leaves are very similar to the ear of a lamb. Jesus is called the Lamb of God.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
