011. Lessons on Climate Change from This Year's Garden

This Woman Knows

Sep 14 2023 • 18 mins

I didn't know that I would grow to love gardening and growing our own food! My husband and I have been tending to Alexander Farm & Orchard since 2015 and have learned about soil amendment, pollinators, composting, and water harvesting.

Well, 2022 was an abysmal year—we couldn't grow anything due to the extreme heat that began in June and didn't let up until September.

This year we were prepared, but only slightly.

How climate change changes how we garden and look forward to the next planting season.

Enjoy the show, everyone.
