Today we are speaking with Michele Phelan about how to become a Clinical Esthetician, what doctors are best to work for and where to get training.

and Michele Phelan has been a licensed, practicing esthetician for over 34 years.

She has taught esthetics at every level including; State Board, clinical/medical and CIDESCO.

Michele writes the core curriculum and teaches the Clinical esthetics portion of the innovative and highly advanced program at Concepts Institute of Advanced Esthetics in the San Francisco, Bay Area.

Michele is an International CIDESCO diplomat, CIDESCO educator and CIDESCO test examiner.

She is a registered aromatherapist, one of the few registered here in the United States. She writes on a variety of industry topics and her articles have been featured in such publications as Skin Inc., Dermascope, Les Nouvelle Esthetiques, Skin Deep and Aromatherapy newsletter

She has been interviewed by CBS for her extensive knowledge of skin care. Michele owned an innovative and clinically integrative spa in San Francisco for over twenty years and still maintains a private practice.

She is a contributing author of the book " The Esthetician's Guide to Outstanding Esthtetics" Volume I and II and the  founder and Executive Director at Concepts Institute of Advanced Esthetics.
