Republicans lost big in the recent off-year elections in Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Given the disastrous and unpopular presidency of Joe Biden, being a Democrat isn’t exactly a badge of honor right now, so the losses are something of a surprise. Many moderate, preemptive surrender, RINO Republicans are doing what they always do, blaming the losses on the issue of abortion. Louisiana Representative Mike Johnson has been elected the 56th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Johnson, who received the unanimous backing of the Republican conference, is a strong conservative. He’s definitely a significant improvement over Kevin McCarthy. And there are very promising signs that he’ll be a great Speaker, capable of securing significant victories for the conservative cause.
