भारतीय आम तौर पर फोटो खिचंवाने के बहुत शौक़ीन होते हैं। "मेरे एक फोटो खींचना" ऐसा जुमला है जो सभी ने कभी न कभी सुना होगा। छोटे बच्चे हों या बड़े बूढ़े सभी इस होड़ में एक से उत्साह से भाग लेते हैं। आप उन्हें उनकी फोटो दें या न दें उन्हें इससे कोई मतलब नहीं है, एक पल के लिए ही सही वो आपके कैमरे के सामने स्टार होते हैं और बस इससे ज़्यादा उन्हें कुछ नहीं चाहिए।

Indians love to be photographed. The more you move in the interiors of India the more you'll find this strange obsession gripping the people. They don't want much in return, many may say, "send me a copy" without caring to give you their address. But what drives them is the urge to be the momentary star in front of your shutter. Your appreciative smile is their reward.
