Pre-Release Chat: Adapting To Life After Trauma

Talking Twenty

Nov 19 2021 • 33 mins

In this episode of the Talking Twenty Podcast, Bridget and Mary-Margaret talk about next week's guest, Taylor Lindsay Noel- the original pivot-er. While training as a gymnast for the 2012 olympics, Taylor suffered a life changing spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the neck down. At just 14 years old, she had to re-identify herself and use the strong mentality that she gained as a trained athlete to completely adapt mentally, physically, emotionally and socially to living life in a wheelchair.

Next week on the podcast, Taylor comes on to chat about going through the defining decade of her twenties as a quadriplegic. We chat about her life before the accident, her life after the accident and the hurdles that are added to her twenties journey while living life in a wheelchair. Dating, Intimacy, Consent, Pregnancy, Motherhood, Career, we cover all the topics that we know you are curious about!

Listen to this pre-episode chat for a sneak peak of the things we talk about on next week's episode, as well as an update on the launch of our company Collective Creations Event Management.

If you want to hear the emotional, in depth story of the day of Taylor's accident, you can listen to the first episode of her podcast 'Tea Time with Tay', where she answers any questions you may have.
