This episode of the rageface studios podcast focuses on an Australian-founded charity made in 2008 by Hugh Evans, Simon Moss and Wei Soo called Global Citizen, or alternatively Global Poverty Project, an international advocacy and educational organisation that seek to end extreme poverty worldwide by 2030. Earlier in September 2021, they had a public relations disaster conveniently close to their Global Citizen Live event over the weekend, as their announcement of CBS television show (now set to be a documentary) 'The Activist' was bombarded with criticism from those all over the political spectrum, who argued it was ridiculous that a charity had gamified people's struggles for commercial gain. In addition, hosts Usher, Priyanka Chopra & Julianne Hough also were bombarded with skepticism as to whether they were appropriate judges, with Hough's 2013 stint with blackface being revived by the Twitter mob following the announcement of the show.
