One of great truths of the Christian life is that, as the believers in Christ, we are now “in Christ” (1 Cor. 1:30, Eph. 1:3, etc.). Even our redemption, as we can see from the type of the Passover, is in Christ; we are not redeemed apart from Christ (Eph. 1:7). In contrast, if we feel that, because we are under the blood, we can now live the Christian life apart from Christ, we are actually living as “spiritual zombies”; that is, we are trying to live the Christian life without having the divine life of Christ, and that can only end in failure. So, we need to tell the Lord: Give me a vision of the fact that I am now “in Christ”; Amen!
