Knowing Your Why Will Drive You: Tyler Young, CEO at Tonic POS and BOLDpay
Knowing Your Why Will Drive You – My Guest, Mr. Tyler Young, is an entrepreneur and the CEO at Tonic POS and BOLDpay. “Everything doesn’t have to perfect to be wonderful.” I became acquainted with this week’s guest from the reality competition show the BLOX.  When I signed up to compete on an entrepreneur TV show I had no idea what to expect, but I can honestly say that I never considered the genuine friendships and mentorship that I would encounter.   Tyler Young was one of the judges on the BLOX and interestingly enough I never had Tyler as one of my judges.  It wasn’t until the last night on the show that our paths crossed.  Tyler led a group of about 60 contestants down a path of understanding the importance of remembering why they started and why they must remain focused on their goals.  It was after he shared his personal story of his motivation to pursue entrepreneurship that I was motivated to share how he and his story was the premise of my “why”.  Since that moment on the BLOX Tyler and I communicated over the next several months and I was able to learn much more about his many successes and the driving force behind his mission.   We discuss his life growing up, his many mentors, how he overcame several inhibitions to pursue life changing events and how his brother’s struggle with life gives him the courage to face life’s many challenges.  If you are looking for inspiration to chase your dreams and why you should appreciate the smaller things in life this will be the episode for you.   Please continue to listen and support this podcast and be sure to check out my social media content on my website http://MotivateWithCoachCamp.com   Also, if you are interested in becoming an official sponsor of this podcast please click the link below to learn more.   👉 SPONSOR THIS PODCAST -  https://bit.ly/443wPRj đź”— WEBSITE - http://www.motivatewithcoachcamp.com đź“ş WATCH - YouTube and Facebook 🎧 LISTEN - Apple and Spotify   This episode was recorded at SRP Studios and Produced by Shelby Row Productions LLC SRPStudiosLLC.com
Brandon Montgomery: From Hitting Jacks to Saving Lives

Brandon Montgomery: From Hitting Jacks to Saving Lives
From Hitting Jacks to Saving Lives – My Guest, Mr. Brandon Montgomery, played triple A ball for the Los Angeles Dodgers and now saves lives on the Collierville fire department.   “Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical.” ~ Yogi Berra   My guest this week found his true passion in life at the very early age of 8.  Having an older brother, Brandon was introduced to the game of baseball basically by the time he was able to walk.  Brandon explains how introducing something to someone and being good at something is no substitution for having a passion for something.  However, when you can combine a natural ability to your passion, magic can happen.   It was his insatiable desire to play the game that gave him the needed edge to excel through the ranks and quickly find himself playing pro ball in rookie league before eventually ascending to double A ball.  During our conversation we cover the good, the bad and the ugly of youth sports as well as the dedication needed to truly be the best of the best. Brandon gives credit to his older brother for having a huge influence on what he believed possible for himself.  Brandon explains how COVID derailed his chances for further advancement after getting a taste of triple A and he had a hard decision to make about his future.  Seeing his older brother pursue the path of  firefighting he decided he would give that career a look.  It was there that our paths crossed and now he is serving as a firefighter for Collierville, TN.  Brandon’s story is both relatable and inspiring and his love for baseball hasn’t left him as he is now a coach and trainer at Beast Athletics in Collierville.
Strength Through the Storm: Coach Camp shares his perspective on why we must face storms.

Strength Through the Storm: Coach Camp shares his perspective on why we must face storms.
“On the other side of a storm is the strength that comes from having navigated through it.”   This week’s episode was inspired through my guests that I’ve been so blessed to have on my show.  I feel like most of us would agree that hard times can come in many shapes and sizes and where one thing might be devastating for one person, that same thing may not be difficult to navigate for someone else. It was actually a friend that once explained to me that no issue should be taken lightly and to always remember that life is not a competition.  The important thing is to be honest with ourselves first, but then allow ourselves to be vulnerable enough to admit when we are having a problem and be brave enough to ask for help. While these concepts may seem simple enough to understand, the truth is they can be very difficult to admit.  This is why I find myself being inspired every week by my guests that selflessly allow their difficult times to be shared with the world and ultimately connect with my audience in the hopes that they can find inspiration and healing through their stories. Using those concepts, I took this week to reflect on my personal journey and hopefully this week’s message will hit home for someone out there struggling through a tough time.  The important thing to remember is that this moment in time will pass and when you come out on the other side you will be stronger than before and when you use your testimony you will infuse hope in others that they too will make it through.  That, my friends, is the way you find purpose and meaning when life tries to beat you down. Connecting Life’s Dots: Marika Therrien’s Traumatic Experience at the 2017 Vegas Shooting

Connecting Life’s Dots: Marika Therrien’s Traumatic Experience at the 2017 Vegas Shooting
Connecting Life’s Dots: Marika Therrien’s Traumatic Experience at the 2017 Vegas Shooting “May all your weeds be wildflowers.” This week’s guest was born a free spirit.  Growing up in rural New Hampshire, Marika found her love for nature and art.  Not knowing exactly what she wanted to do in life she did like many people often do and follow the advice of other’s in an attempt to find her place in the world. After graduating from college with a biology degree, she realized medicine was not her passion.  It was a trip to Las Vegas that introduced her to an entirely different life style.  When her friend suggested she was made for that city she packed her bags and decided to try a new life out west.  Moving to Las Vegas in April of 2017 was both exciting and uncertain. In October, she went with a friend to a country concert to assist with taking some pics.  Shortly after leaving the concert she found herself sitting at the base of the Mirage when suddenly she heard what was thought to be fireworks going off only to realize she was directly under the window of the shooter that ultimately killed 60 people and injured over 800.  Following this harrowing event she was then living her life on pins and needles when an innocent date turned into a stalker situation that haunted her for over two years. Tune in to hear how Marika used all of these traumatic events to inspire her new business turning flowers into jewelry.  Through all that she has been through it is nothing short of amazing to see how she has used all of these life events to help others and create incredible works of art. You can find her work on Instagram @‌blossomandlove. Addiction Knows No Boundaries: Casey Smith and his story of addiction, owner of Casey’s Remodeling.

Addiction Knows No Boundaries: Casey Smith and his story of addiction, owner of Casey’s Remodeling.
Addiction Knows No Boundaries: Casey Smith, Owner of Casey’s Remodeling. “Strive to find peace, not happiness. Happiness comes and goes, peace is from within.”  It is no secret that drug addiction is rampant in America and I think most would agree drugs are deadlier than they have ever been.  Since the introduction of Fentanyl laced drugs, overdose deaths are rising by 5% each year.  The number of Fentanyl based deaths reaches into the millions worldwide.   This week’s guest did not grow up in a tumultuous childhood surrounded by gangs and drugs.  He was like millions of other kids across America.  A kid that loved to hang with friends and play sports like football, baseball and basketball.  There was no reason to think that he wouldn’t grow up to become whatever he chose in life.   It was the introduction to narcotics following a surgery from a sports injury that he realized he had an affinity for the way the narcotics made him feel.  So much so, that years later he started to seek opportunities to score pills from classmates.   Casey’s story should resonate with every single person out there because he is a glowing example of how fast things can snowball.  So many people have an incidental moment in their lives that can derail everything they have ever worked for.  It is because of this reality that Casey made the decision to take a 9 hour road trip to be on my show.  He understands how important his message is and he is now dedicated to helping as many people as he can.  Casey feels that if his story can help just one person than it was all worth it.  He has now been sober since 2019 and runs a very successful renovation business.  He wants others to know that if he can get clean, so can you! A Mother’s Love Has No Limits: Carolyn O’Byrne, Owner and Operator of Non-Profit, “Daisy’s Place”
A Mother’s Love Has No Limits – My Guest, Ms. Carolyn O’Byrne, is the owner and operator of her non-profit, “Daisy’s Place”. “You must first take care of yourself before you can take care of those you love.” A mother’s intuition is something that could be considered one of the world’s great mysteries.  Ms. O’Byrne was facing difficult moments as the birth of her daughter neared.  Trusting that God has a plan for her life she faced the uncertainty of a high risk delivery. Her daughter was born without issues and it wasn’t until nearly a year and a half later that her daughter started developing some serious health issues.  Initially, she was told that her daughter was fine, but something didn’t settle right with Ms. O’Byrne and she insisted that more test be done to find out what was wrong with her daughter.  Several tests later it was discovered that her daughter had an autoimmune disease and was treated with a new drug that caused a severe reaction. Her daughter nearly died and spent over a month in the hospital with much of that time in the ICU.  Since they were at Vanderbilt which was several hours away from their home in Alabama this caused a serious issue with where to sleep and shower.  Because of this unexpected life hardship, Ms. O’Byrne decided to take action.  Please check out this episode and learn how she took a life altering moment and turned it into something to help families facing some of the same difficulties she experienced.  You can learn more about Ms. O’Byrne’s nonprofit and how to access her services by going to www.Daisys-place.org Please continue to listen and support this podcast and be sure to check out my social media content on my website http://MotivateWithCoachCamp.com   Also, if you are interested in becoming an official sponsor of this podcast please click the link below to learn more.   👉 SPONSOR THIS PODCAST -  https://bit.ly/443wPRj đź”— WEBSITE - http://www.motivatewithcoachcamp.com đź“ş WATCH - YouTube and Facebook 🎧 LISTEN - Apple and Spotify   This episode was recorded at SRP Studios and Produced by Shelby Row Productions LLC SRPStudiosLLC.com
Healing Must be Intentional: Mary Beth Fox, Licensed Counselor and Therapist.

Healing Must be Intentional: Mary Beth Fox, Licensed Counselor and Therapist.
Healing Must be Intentional– My Guest, Mrs. Mary Beth Fox, is a Licensed Counselor and Therapist. “Success is loving life and daring to live it.” ~Maya Angelou Growing can be difficult for a number of reasons.  Some may have childhood trauma from physical loss, some may have economic strife, others may lack structure in the home.  Regardless of the mechanism that causes the damage, figuring out how to overcome those hurdles as you get older could feel impossible. My guest this week grew up with the pressure of feeling inadequate or never being good enough.  It’s fair to say that a lot of parents have an idea of what they want their kids to become as they get older.  This can become an issue when the child never feels like they can live up to those expectations.  Struggling to find her calling in life, Mary Beth was able to achieve several milestones in her early adult life, but she found herself struggling with depression and not knowing how to reach out for help. It wasn’t until she was hit head on by a drunk driver and faced the possibility of being a quadriplegic that she started to find her inner strength.  After a few days, her feeling came back to her legs and miraculously she was able to walk again a short while later.  As she continued to heal physically it was her mental state that was struggling to find a balance.  Feeling like she finally had a reason to ask for mental help without being judged, Mary Beth took a different kind of first steps and found a therapist which began a long road to mental healing. It was from all of those years of both mental and physical trauma and the help that she received that inspired her passion to become a therapist.  Now Mary Beth owns “Soulshine Counseling and Wellness” and writes a blog addressing mental health called, “Not Good Enough Stuff.”   I know you will be inspired by her unrelenting desire to thrive in life and now use her life’s struggles to encourage and empower others. Ambition is Nothing Without Action: Ms. Breana Shell, Co-Founder non-profit, “Paws N Hooves Rescue”.

Ambition is Nothing Without Action: Ms. Breana Shell, Co-Founder non-profit, “Paws N Hooves Rescue”.
“Every week is a new beginning; take a deep breath and start again; forget what might have been and look at what can be.” To say that this week’s guest is ambitious would almost feel like I’m understating things.  Understandably, most of us are just going through a preplanned routine at the age of 16, but not this young lady.  At the age of 8 she found a true interest in the art of karate and MMA fighting.  Having a father that had fought for many years and a super supportive mother, Breana never saw limitation that many people might have found in themselves. Breana shares how her passion for cage fighting has instilled a work ethic and laser focused self-discipline that spills over into her everyday life.  Wanting to pursue several avenues of interest she forged ahead in her academic life and graduated at the age of 16.  When asked why graduate early she simply replied, “so I can do more things I want to achieve.” Part of that interest is helping her mother run a nonprofit organization that helps nurse cats and dogs back to health and place them in foster homes until they can be adopted.  This love for animals gives her ideas of maybe becoming a veterinarian one day.  She also expressed a desire to maybe go down the road of law enforcement to become an FBI agent. It’s not uncommon to speak to a young person and hear several vastly different ideas of what they would like to become as they get older.  However, it is very unique to find a person at any age that not only dreams big, but they are actively working on instilling the fundamental ingredients to see those dreams come true.  I can say with complete confidence, whatever this young lady chooses to pursue in life she will be incredibly successful at it. Tapping Out is not an Option w/ “The Hype Man” David Hatton

Tapping Out is not an Option w/ “The Hype Man” David Hatton
Tapping Out is not an Option – My Guest, Mr. David Hatton “The Hype Man”, is a Sales specialist for medical equipment, a husband and father and moonlights as a ring announcer for MMA. “Your mind will quit a thousand times before your body ever will.” ~Red   Growing up with three siblings can be a challenge regardless of circumstances, but when you are brought up in a home with discord and chaos it can be a recipe for disaster.  This week’s guest shares how he endured parents that were alcoholics and abusive to he and his siblings.  In many ways, it could have been very understandable if this rough beginning would have been enough to derail him from a productive life.  Thankfully, some friends stepped in and their encouragement had a profound impact that would change the trajectory of his life forever. Many times we will see kids that are brought up in broken homes choose a life of drugs, alcohol and crime.  David might had went that route himself but much to his credit he chose his friends wisely.  I’ve said many times, the company we keep has the largest impact on the people that we become.  David’s friends invited him to attend church service with them and that moment opened an entirely new perspective to how life could be.   Having met his future wife at the age of 14, David showed that he wanted to have stability and hope for his future.  Going to work at Smith and Nephew led him down a path of stable work for over 26 years before transitioning to his new job.  It was those life changes and new opportunities that took him in the direction he finds himself today.  Leading in prayer before MMA matches led to announcing and announcing to a much wider audience to share his amazing story of going from surviving to thriving and pursuing God’s will in his life.  I am honored and proud to have David as my friend and I know you will be blessed by his story. A Vision for the Future: Dr. Rolando Toyos, world renowned Ophthalmologist and developer of intense pulsed light (IPL) for dry eye conditions.
A Vision for the Future – My Guest Dr. Rolando Toyos, is a world renowned Ophthalmologist and developer of intense pulsed light (IPL) for dry eye conditions. “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” ~Edison   This week’s guest is the epitome of the American dream.  Doctor Toyos’s  father is from Cuba and his mother is from the Dominican Republic and it was his father’s baseball abilities that brought them to America when his father was drafted by the New York Yankees. They moved to New York where he could play in their minor league system and at the same time, give their boys the ability to pursue a life in America. Dr. Toyos details how his love for sports and his affinity for medicine, took him down some adventurous roads.  Never being one to limit his opportunities in life, Toyos was willing to entertain suggestions and other’s ideas of what they saw him capable of becoming.  It was that willingness to try things he might never had considered that led him to being the person that he is today. Living in New York and then going to college in California and Illinois gave him unique perspectives from all corners of America.  Using those experiences and the mentorship gained along the way he eventually found his calling in Ophthalmology.  Harkening on his passion for research, after nearly 20 years,  he developed the cutting edge treatment for dry eye disease using (IPL) Intense Pulse Light treatments.  Toyos now travels all over the world teaching his revolutionary procedure and impacting millions of lives. Facing Imposter Syndrome: You can be great at what you do but still not feel worthy

Facing Imposter Syndrome: You can be great at what you do but still not feel worthy
“To be worthy does not mean to be perfect.” After spending a week in Tulsa, Oklahoma, filming for a reality TV show, which put entrepreneurs against each other competing for cash prizes, I quickly realized I was way outside of my comfort zone.  Sitting in my hotel room at the end of the first day, I questioned if I had made a bad decision and if I was ready for such exposure.  After a hard talk with myself I knew the only choice to make was to stay and give my best effort. This momentary lapse in confidence caused me to take pause and remember that the only regret in life should be that of a venture not taken.  Being in an unfamiliar place and feeling inadequate is a very humbling experience.  The growth that we can experience during that time is greater than anything you could imagine.  The fear of the unknown and self-doubt can be crippling at times and that is why I decided to share this moment and allow my vulnerability to be my strength. Acknowledging my weaknesses and humbling myself to ask for help was just as difficult for me as it is for my guests and I know that this moment in time will be reflected upon as one of the most pivotal moments of my Coach Camp journey.  I hope that you find this episode to be both inspiring and relatable.  If you decide to help financially I want you to know that every penny will go to grow the podcast and its message.  If you can’t contribute at this time your continued support and love is much appreciated.
