Hi Fellow Dads,

At some point, we will all endure the loss of a loved one. How will our families make it through and maintain confidence in God and faith in His word? Here are some truths God has been teaching me to teach my family as we have been mourning the loss of a precious loved one.

Leaning on Jesus,

Nathan

Scriptures

Ecclesiastes 11:8 But if a man live many years, [and] rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh [is] vanity.

Verses about men weeping: Acts 20:31, Mark 14:72, John 11:35

Well-known passages on the resurrection of believers: John 14; 1 Corinthians 15; and 1 Thessalonians 4

1 Corinthians 15:19-20 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

2 Corinthians 7:6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD [is] a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
