For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. 2 Corinthians 11:4
For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-14
False prophets/apostles have existed throughout history. There are examples in both the Old and New Testament. Here in 2 Corinthians 11, Paul is refuting the "super apostles" and their teachings. Just as the Corinthians had to show discernment, we do too because Satan "masquerades as an angel of light". We must be on guard and know the Word to stand fast!
