How often do you love what you do? Do you feel that you have no choice but do the work you do? In today’s episode we call out those times when we can feel trapped in our work and what we can do to re-engage with the workplace and find purpose in the work that we do. We look at how money can at times trap us in our roles and why loving the work you do can be such a grey area at times but once you do find purpose in your work how it can make such a difference to your life.   Subscribe Apple | Google | Spotify | Stitcher | iHeart | Amazon Music |   Resources 1) Confucius Quote: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” 2) Find out what the C.H.E.C.K Method stands for here: https://winninginwork.com/winninginworkservices 3) Find out more about Winning in Work here: https://winninginwork.com/winning-in-work-podcast 4) Or follow us on Instagram here: @WinninginWork 3 Career Takeaways 1) Your employer is not your parent. When talking to them you need to speak to them on your level: “Have these conversations like two adults in the room, they are not your parents. And that's something that we really need to change in the workplace.” 2) On finding purpose and paying for a career coach: “You don't need a coach for that! What you actually need is to want to enjoy your work!” 3) The people can make or break the workplace “Do you enjoy the people that you work with? Have a real think about it, because that's actually one of the big things. They say you don't leave a job, you leave the boss, and [sometimes you need to] leave a toxic workplace.”
