What is a Boy?

The Old Time Radio Snack Wagon

Feb 26 2024 • 9 mins

In today's episode, we tak e a look at a great clip from a lesser known program. After producing radio-gold with The Great Gildersleeve, Harold Peary left NBC and the Series for a new series The Harold Peary Show, which became an uneven show that felt like a Gildersleeve knock-off that struggled to find its way.

Yet the show did have some good moments as we hear in this scene from May 2, 1951 where Peary reads Alan Beck's essay, "What is a Boy?"
