COVID-19 Mental Health: Living Alone

Wit and Reason with Dr. Alexis Moreno

Apr 28 2020 • 1 min

Psychologist, Dr. Alexis from Wit & Reason, shares mental health recommendations amid COVID-19:

As human beings we all need human connection. Meaning active communication with others. Living alone during this pandemic can be exceptionally difficult. So make some extra efforts to fill your social calendar. Have a virtual dinner date. Schedule time to eat and commiserate while on a video call with a friend. Meet for some social distanced exercise. Walk, run or bike ride 6 ft apart. Even with some space, they will still be able to hear about your day. Arrange a movie night. Grab the popcorn and a delicious drink. You and your friend are hitting play at the same time and sharing this experience over a phone or video call. Whatever creative way you find to connect make it a daily priority.
