Meet the Women Leading New Jersey's Transportation Management Associations (TMAs).
“Behind every great woman... is another great woman.” -Kate HodgesNew Jersey is the only state in which every county is served by a transportation management association (TMA). New Jersey's TMAs provide sustainable transportation solutions to commuters, businesses, and communities and also serve as Safe Routes to School Regional Coordinators. While the transportation field is male-dominated, five of New Jersey's eight TMA executive directors are women. To honor Women in Transportation and Women’s History Month, KMM's Acting Executive Director Roberta Karpinecz talks with Rhonda Urkowitz of Cross County Connections, Donna Allison of RideWise, Tara Shepherd of GoHunterdon, and Cheryl Kastrenakes of Greater Mercer TMA about their organizations and personal journeys to becoming respected leaders in transportation demand management (TDM).To learn more about New Jersey's TMAs and to find your local agency, visit https://www.tmacouncilnj.org/ #tma #trasportationmanagementassociation #nj #newjersey #transportation #saferoutestoschool #pedestriansafety #bicyclesafety #mobility #equitabletransportation #middlesexcountynj #transportationdemandmanagement #TDMKeep Middlesex Moving is Middlesex County, NJ's non-profit transportation management association (TMA).
