In the world of theology, things can get ugly from time to time. While there have been very heated debates in the past (see Nicholas punching Arius at the Council of Nicea), very often simple disagreements are blown out of proportion. One case is when opposing, yet closely related, interpretive methods are used and one side accuses the other of heresy when it is really not. A recent interaction brought this thought to the forefront and we look at it in detail here.
