There are many reasons why modern men are so lost and one of those reasons is that we no longer provide the means for boys to make the passage from boys to men. The rituals of passage are lost traditions that were used to help find themselves through doing difficult, challenging and dangerous things. In this episode, I talk about our need for these rites of passage and how they should be done. I talk about the need for boys to be taught, guided, cared about and mentored instead of just what we do now which is to just place expectations onto them and expect them to execute perfectly without any mistakes or setbacks. When I talk about "Nice Guys," I'm referring to Robert Glover and his book about "nice guys" and the patterns of dysfunctional behavior they fall into. I've noticed that nice guys have a troubling pattern with what I would refer to as destructive women.
