There are two fabulous cosmic events to mark in our diaries this week. The first of these is an organized, productive, get-things-done New Moon in meticulous Virgo on Thursday. And the second - wait for it - is Mercury finally going direct after three weeks of retrograde, on Friday. What a way to kick off the weekend, right?

But wait, there’s more - the cherry on the cake is an electrifying alignment between the Sun and Uranus, also on Friday. This is an ideal configuration for letting our freak flag fly high and breaking out of our comfort zones. Sure, Virgo, as an Earth sign, likes to play it safe. But with this juicy energy going on, we’re certainly not going to want to do the same old thing we always have. Be it in our careers, finances, routines, or simply the way that we self-express, this is a great time to go a little, well, wild. In a safe way, of course. After all, we are talking about Earth energy here, and Earth is ever-practical and forever cautious. The cosmos is just adding a touch of spice is all. Yum.

The only ‘downside’ to the week - and we say that tongue in cheek - is the square between Venus and Jupiter on Sunday. It's the third and final installment of a triad. Let's call it the triad of excess. The triad of going-over-the-top. Venus and Jupiter are, after all, benefic planets, which, in ancient astrology just means good, happy, beneficial, fortunate.

So, even a hard aspect between them isn’t something to sweat over. As we’ve mentioned, it just indicates a time where we may be tempted to push our limits. In love, money, or anything else indulgent and/or pleasurable. But hopefully we’ve learned our lesson, and by the end of the week, we’ll know the telltale signs of an impending temptation. Moreover, we know how to mitigate it so that our waistlines, bank account, and hearts don't fall for the same tricks. Oh yes, we are so much wiser now.
