Roughly 30 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions produced in the U.S. comes from industry. This includes the manufacturing of consumer goods, textiles as well as the creation of building and chemical materials. Today, the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas still drive much of this production - even when there are clean, renewable energy sources waiting to be used.
