With gargantuan hits like Pirates of the Caribean and Tron: Legacy, the studio felt like they couldn’t lose. A director who made some of the most important films of the early 2000s had now put his entire career on the line. They were ready to change the world, that was until Avatar beat them to the punch. This is the unfortunate story of a film that I truly believe is cursed.
