We’re almost halfway through 2021 (even though it has felt much, MUCH longer) so in the final episode of the series, Jack Howard is challenging Joe Ikhinwmin, Clarisse Loughrey and film critic Anna Bogutskaya to convince him which film is the best of the year so far.

Who will come out on top between Judas And The Black Messiah, Nomadland and Promising Young Woman?

Clarisse believes the Oscars finally got it right and that Nomadland really is the best picture, but Joe found it boring and prefers Judas And The Black Messiah because of how eye-opening and relevant it is to today’s issues. Anna meanwhile loves Promising Young Woman for many reasons, including the meta-casting of ‘nice-guy’ actors in more sinister roles.
