These all-time favorites have been tastefully retouched to resonate with today's discerning listeners. Intriguingly, I've discovered that numerous well-known dance tracks from the 90s and early 2000s have borrowed notable elements from these lesser-known disco songs. For instance, the musical riff from John Davis & The Monster Orchestra's "Bourgie', Bourgie'" is unmistakably present in Gustavo Santaolalla's chart-topping club hit "The Wings" from "Brokeback Mountain." Another is Gary Gang's "Let's Lovedance Tonight," which heavily influenced the hit "Can't Get Enough" by Soulsearcher. There's a plethora of direct and indirect references drawn from these golden era tracks. You'll notice the distinct riff from "You Don't Know Me" by Armand Van Helden appearing in several songs. The dance duo Freemasons even borrowed heavily from Jackie Moore's "This Time Baby" for their track "Love On My Mind." In this compilation, I've purposefully included some less familiar but highly impactful tracks, alongside massive disco hits that have faded from memory. Any remix by Dr. Packer, Joey Negro, or Dimitri From Paris is worth noting, as these artists impeccably honor the original disco spirit in their work. Their comprehensive understanding of dance music history is unparalleled and worth exploring. Even though this set was wrapped up a couple of days ago, I've since added five more tracks. Expect an extended version of Thank God It's Disco volume 4 to drop tomorrow. While we've included some renowned tracks for a dash of familiarity, the focus is on exposing you to the gems that aren't typically mainstream. After a brief hiatus of a week to get some essential chores done, I'll be back with more fresh content from Dance Club, Circuit & Anthems, Disco House, and Peak Hour. And yes, we will have our Gay Pride sets as well. Until the next time...ENJOY! Album: Thank God It’s Disco vol. 3Artists: VariousGenre: DiscoLength: 04:24:26 1.
