Episode 15: Energy Series | How Limiting Beliefs Hurt You
In this episode we delve into the concept of limiting beliefs and their profound impact on our effectiveness as leaders. Beliefs are the deeply rooted convictions we hold about ourselves, others, and the world. As highlighted by Tony Robbins, our beliefs have the power to shape our perception of reality and influence our outcomes.Michelle Nicole shares common examples of limiting beliefs that hinder our growth as leaders, emphasizing the need for reframing these beliefs to unlock our true potential. The episode then presents six actionable steps to identify and let go of limiting beliefs, enabling listeners to enhance their self-leadership skills. Additionally, we provide a thought-provoking example that demonstrates how a belief that once served us well can become a hindrance when we transition into different roles. It's important to recognize that our beliefs not only inform our identity but also shape our habits and ultimately drive our results. As Wayne Gretzky famously said, "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take." By challenging and reshaping our beliefs, we can expand our leadership capabilities, improve our decision-making, and achieve greater success.Episode HighlightsDefinition limiting beliefsBeliefs are a state of mind we hold to be true about our selves, others and the world.Quote by Tony RobbinsOur beliefs change our perception of reality Example of how to use the energy series in leadershipExamples of Leadership limiting beliefsReframing those beliefs6 steps to identify and let go of a limiting beliefExample of how a belief that once helped us can hurt us when we change roles.our belief inform our identity which shapes our habits and drives our results.
