Spiritual formation is a broad and deep subject, and it is also simple and complex.  In this episode the character of God and mainly His holiness is the aim of spiritual formation, as seen in the life of Jesus Christ.  The ability to live holy lives is not based on self-effort, or self-determination, but on the power of God in the life of the believer.  This power is seen in both the vertical and horizontal planes of the believer’s life in relation to his or her relationship with God and mankind.  The horizontal line relates to life with families, friends, school, work, and society at large, and culture and cultural values plays an important part influencing perspective, and due to this it is important to be grounded in a Christian Worldview.
