Mike Dinero grew up in East L.A with his mom and five siblings. He talked about how he would take two buses everyday with his brother just to get to school and back. He mentioned how hard his mother work to help provide a roof over their heads and food in fridge. Although his mother wasn't around, he still never let the streets fully take a hold of him. Even though he would hang out with people from his neighborhood and ditch school from time to time he still managed to have other things like skateboarding help him escape from the streets. Mike Dinero also talks about how his Senior year in high school took a turn when they moved to Downey and started going to Downey High School. He went from taking two buses to walking distance to his new school. He explains how nothing really changed besides the luxury cars, kids with money and the lingo. Mike Dinero was introduced to music once he made the jump to Downey. If he never moved to Downey, he would have never discovered the talent he has for music.
