Jessi Morgan Devotions for the Christian Heart Podcast

Jessi Morgan

Jessi Morgan in 2023 had a traumatic experience that shaped how she views life and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God has laid it on her heart to share her experiences and inspire others to put God first in every aspect of their life like she finally did in hers. Having her daughter born 4 months early really made Jessi lean on the Lord for comfort and guidance. And today she stands here starting her brand new 6-10 minute podcast focusing on weekly devotionals about what God can do for you and what He's done for her.

Do people see God in you?
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…You see let’s try something different. Let’s showcase our faith first with actions and emotions first before adding anything verbal to it. Let people wonder about you so then you can plant that seed of people seeing God in you. Key passagesGenesis 39:2-5The LORD was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.Genesis 41:38-39So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.1 John 4:12-13No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.Follow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip
God wants you to forget & produce

God wants you to forget & produce
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Today, I want to reflect on both the past and the future. Our past with our daughter was filled with pain, especially on dates like September 5 her birth, October 6, and December 27. On October 6, she endured a terrible second infection, and on December 27, she underwent another surgery to place a shunt to drain spinal fluid from her brain cavities, which had started to affect her vision. These were incredibly difficult times. I often felt like Joseph in the Bible, moving forward only to be set back again. Although I can’t fully compare my experience to his, I understand the feeling of hardship. Yet, I refused to dwell on frustration or allow others to pity us. Instead, I wanted those who knew our situation to bring faith, support, and joy. That mindset began with me. In those moments, I had to set the tone for how we would navigate this journey and continue praying for a brighter future. The past is behind us and I can’t remain there.Key passages Genesis 41:51-52Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh and said, “It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” The second son he named Ephraim and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”Philippians 3:13-14Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.Follow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip
Relying on God Through Others

Relying on God Through Others
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Relying on God through others seems a bit much! As I've gotten older, especially after becoming a mom, I've noticed how much of a control freak I can be. I think it comes from wanting to protect and provide the best for my child, Sage, and even for our dog. Naturally, I want to have a say in everything. So, when it comes to relying on someone else—especially when it involves my well-being or that of my loved ones—it’s challenging. And trusting that God will work through someone else? That’s even tougher.Key Verses: Daniel 2:12-16"This made the king so angry and furious that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon. So the decree was issued to put the wise men to death, and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death. When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, had gone out to put to death the wise men of Babylon, Daniel spoke to him with wisdom and tact. He asked the king’s officer, 'Why did the king issue such a harsh decree?' Arioch then explained the matter to Daniel. At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him."Exodus 17:10-13So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.Follow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip

Giving Away Your Edge
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Ever been edged out of a competition or race? Coming off the Olympics in 2024, this devotional is very special. So how is your faith training.  What's your edge?Key verses Hebrews 12:1-2Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.1 Timothy 4:7-8Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.Philippians 3:13-14Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.1 corinthian 13:57 57 But thanks be to God! Who’s the Favorite in the Family Lord?
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Joseph's journey is remarkable: he was sold into slavery by his brothers, faced numerous challenges, and ultimately rose to become the second most powerful person in Egypt. But let's rewind and explore how Joseph and his brothers ended up in this situation. The root causes were jealousy, favoritism, and resentment.Key Verses & PassagesGen 29:11 11 Then Jacob kissed Rachel and began to weep aloud.Gen 29:31-3231 When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless. 32 Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben,[a] for she said, “It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.”Gen 30:22-2422 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive. 23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, “God has taken away my disgrace.” 24 She named him Joseph,[a] and said, “May the Lord add to me another son.”Gen 32:77 In great fear and distress Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups,[a] and the flocks and herds and camels as well.Gen 33:1-333 Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel and the two female servants. 2 He put the female servants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph in the rear. 3 He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother.Colossians 3:18-2118 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.21 Fathers,[a] do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.Ephesians 5:22-2522 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbFollow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip

Who's the 4th man in the fire? Faith goals: Built, Improve, Perfect...
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…I learned this some time ago and it stuck with me since. I feel like faith has 3 components to it. Built - past & present particles to buildImprove - to make betterPerfected - to make something free of flaws or defect. Faith is built, improve, and perfected over time, providing comfort when needed most. So who's the 4th man in the fire?Title: Who's the 4th man? Faith goals: Built, Improve, PerfectEpisode #13Key Verse:1 Peter 1:6-7In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.Isaiah 43:22 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;and when you pass through the rivers,    they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire,    you will not be burned;    the flames will not set you ablaze.Key Passage:Daniel 3:19-3019 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seventimes hotter than usual 20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. 22 The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 23 and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?”They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!”So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, 27 and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! Well check out this take on that! Let God Assemble the support you need. Episode #11 Key Verses or Passages: Esther 8:8-13****Verse 8:Now write another decree in the king’s name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring —for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.”At once the royal secretaries were summoned—on the twenty-third day of the third month, the month of Sivan. They wrote out all Mordecai’s orders to the Jews, and to the satraps, governors and nobles of the 127 provinces stretching from India to Cush. These orders were written in the script of each province and the language of each people and also to the Jews in their own script and language. ****Verse 10: Mordecai wrote in the name of King Xerxes (Zurk seez) sealed the dispatches with the king’s signet ring, and sent them by mounted couriers, who rode fast horses especially bred for the king.****Verse 11:The king’s edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate the armed men of any nationality or province who might attack them and their women and children, and to plunder the property of their enemies. ****Verse 12: The day appointed for the Jews to do this in all the provinces of King Xerxes (Zurk Seez) was the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar. Jealousy, Influencers, and Who are you googling?
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Jealousy or Coveting…Ever experienced it? I have for sure. Both ways! I experienced it where people were jealous of me and also how I was jealous of them. It’s not pretty. I’m gonna put myself out here today and talk about myself being jealous or coveting what someone else had. I didn’t want to be cliché and discuss the jealousy I have dealt with from others. Let’s be real and discuss an ugly side of me that I wasn’t proud of for a bit. Key Verses & Passages: Exodus 20:17 - “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”Romans 5:8 - “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Numbers 12:1-10Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses12 Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this.3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)4 At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. 5 Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, 6 he said, “Listen to my words:“When there is a prophet among you,    I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions,    I speak to them in dreams.7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;    he is faithful in all my house.8 With him I speak face to face,    clearly and not in riddles;    he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid    to speak against my servant Moses?”9 The anger of the Lord burned against them, and he left them.10 When the cloud lifted from above the tent,Miriam’s skin was leprous[a]—it became as white as snow. Plan of Action: Holiday Sale vs King David’s Battle
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…What is a strategy? Should we have a plan of action as Christians? Today we look at executing a plan with God. King David had countless wars he fought in and for sure had strategies in place as well as faith in God to be successful. Check out the pod today as well as explore plans of actions and what it means as a Christian?Key Passages:2 Samuel 16:23New International Version23 Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice.2 Samuel 15:32-34New International Version32 When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head. 33 David said to him, “If you go with me, you will be a burden to me.34 But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, ‘Your Majesty, I will be your servant; I was your father’s servant in the past, but now I will be your servant,’ then you can help me by frustrating Ahithophel’s advice.2 Samuel 17:7-14New International Version7 Hushai replied to Absalom, “The advice Ahithophel has given is not good this time. 8 You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs. Besides, your father is an experienced fighter; he will not spend the night with the troops. 9 Even now, he is hidden in a cave or some other place. If he should attack your troops first,[a] whoever hears about it will say, ‘There has been a slaughter among the troops who follow Absalom.’ 10 Then even the bravest soldier, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a fighter and that those with him are brave.11 “So I advise you: Let all Israel, from Dan to Beersheba—as numerous as the sand on the seashore—be gathered to you, with you yourself leading them into battle. 12 Then we will attack him wherever he may be found, and we will fall on him as dew settles on the ground. Neither he nor any of his men will be left alive. 13 If he withdraws into a city, then all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we will drag it down to the valley until not so much as a pebble is left.”14 Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The advice of Hushai the Arkite is better than that of Ahithophel.” For the Lord had determined to frustrate the good advice of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom.5P Strategy1. Stop Trying to Make Your Own Blessings & Your Own Timing
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Why do we lack patience when God promises something to you? Why do we take mattes into our own hands at times when it's not needed? This episode today intertwines the Biblical couple Abram & Sarai (who later on become Abraham & Sarah) with Solar Panels. I'll explain! Take some time and listen in today! It's worth it!Key Passages: Genesis 15:1-4, 16:1-2, 16:12The Lord’s Covenant With AbramGenesis 15:1-415 After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“Do not be afraid, Abram.    I am your shield,[a]    your very great reward.[b]”2 But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit[c] my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”3 And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”4 Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.”Hagar and IshmaelGenesis 16:1-216 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. But she had an Egyptian slave named Hagar; 2 so she said to Abram, “The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.”Abram agreed to what Sarai said.Genesis 16:1212 He will be a wild donkey of a man;    his hand will be against everyone    and everyone’s hand against him,and he will live in hostility    toward[a] all his brothers.”Follow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip

God sent you a bill. Should you pay it?
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Before I began, this devotion is about me sharing my experiences to hopefully inspire or encourage you all to listen and dig into your stories and appreciate what God has done for you. I wanted to discuss tithing. Ouch! Always a sore subject for many. From the Bible, God instructed us to give 10% of our earnings and in return blessings will come. With everything I went through with my daughter being in the hospital over 100 days and the fact that she’s healed because of my Lord, why can’t I give Him something of me back? He’s done so much for me. Think of it this way, “I give the Lord a tenth or 10% and I get to keep 90%!” Let's discuss this week on the podcast!Verse of the Day: Proverbs 3:9Honor the LORD with your wealthand with the best part of everything you produce.Key Passage: Deuteronomy 14:22-23The Giving of Tithes“You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.Follow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip

The Joneses, A King & a Range Rover
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Ever prayed so hard for God to give you something because you saw someone else with it? Deep down does Status matter to you?Let's be honest, we have all had things we wanted because someone else had it or you were trying to keep up with the Joneses. And in the end, it's not what you thought and some of the biggest spiritual setbacks occur when we jump the gun before really seeking out God first. This week's devotion is about a Range Rover and Israel's first King. Interesting combination right? Check it out for yourself!Key Passage: 1 Samuel 8:1-7When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders. The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. But his sons did not follow his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice. So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.”But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. And the LORD told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.Follow Jessi Morgan on social:IG - @JessiMorganlifeIG dedicated to Home & Design - @JessiMorganHomeWebsite: www.jessimorganhome.com/devotionsContact: jessi@jessimorganhome.comPodcast Music by: prazkhanalSong: Whip

Praising God when it's Hard
Text if you need me? Prayer or just need encouragement…Do you sing praises when it's hard? When things take a downturn, do you find comfort in song? It may seem odd to ask, but do you sing, scream, or yell when life throws a curveball your way? After a breakup, do you find yourself turning to a sad love song to ease the pain?
