#24: Best time to be a sports fan
It have been some awesome weeks for sports fans all over the world but especially fans of Euroleague basketball! While Real Madrid already punched their ticket (00:03:25) to this years Euroleague Final Four in Berlin there are still 3 tickets up for grab. Panathinaikos Athens vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv will play their deciding Game 5 on May 7th in Athens (00:06:54). While both teams have shown some stellar performances by their Guards it might come down to the big men to decide what team will be part of the F4 party in Berlin. Another thriller is to be expected in the matchup between FC Barcelona vs. Olympiacos Piraeus (00:12:50). The Greeks have shown incredible fighting spirit in Game 4 and basically whopped the Catalans of the floor. The outcome of Game 5 will also depend on what Barca team shows up. Lastly, we head to the series between AS Monaco vs. Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (00:22:50) which ended up in a thrilling Game 4 victory for the team from the Côte d’Azur. Unfortunately, there were some ugly scenes after the final buzzer and it will be interesting to see how this will affect the grande finale of this series in Monaco.  After some Euro talks we take a look at this years NBA Playoffs and discuss how the change of guard is on full display. We have 90's basketball flashback and most notably Anthony Edwards taking his game as well as his team, the Minnesota Tim,berwolves, to new heights. But there are many more storylines lingering as well (00:35:56).   Co-Host: Matej Hopp and Simon Pichler Producer: Simon Pichler Music: Lunatic - HLM 3 (Intro) & 113 - Outro (113 fout la merde) You can follow the Up Hill Down Under podcast on, Facebook (@uphilldownunder) Instagram (@uphilldownunder), on Twitter/X (@uphilldownunder) and on YouTube (coming soon).
