Growing up in Redford, population 600, he had spent his teens playing bass in cover bands and was ready for the next chapter in his career. On his way to the West Coast, he detoured in Nashville to visit his uncle, a staff songwriter at Warner-Chappell Publishing. The plan was to spend a few months there and move on. Growing up on rock music, with an affinity for The Police, U2, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Kennedy admittedly knew and cared little about country music, other than the “badass and edgy” outliers Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakam. Within a week of his arrival, he met Michael Knox, who was running Warner-Chappell and working with a new artist named Jason Aldean. Kennedy soon found himself in the company of studio veterans like Michael Rhodes and Mike Brignardello, and discovered that the Nashville recording scene was, in fact, eye opening. “I realised there was a lot of stuff going on,” he says. “I wanted to work in the studio, and Michael Knox got me started right away. I learned quickly how incredible it is to be able to do that here. Nashville does things very fast, and being a studio musician here is challenging. You don’t spend two days on a song; you’ve got a half-hour. You’ve got to be able to go in and come out with a great rhythm section in two or three takes.” Kennedy recently received his first CMA Triple Play Award, for the Jason Aldean smashes reaching #1 in a 12-month span: “Blame It On You”, “Trouble With A Heartbreak”, and “If I Didn’t Love You” (with Carrie Underwood). 🟥 CONNECT, LISTEN, & WATCH TO THE SHOW Click on your favorite platform below to connect, listen, or watch.       ▶ Facebook:  https://www.Facebook.com/GoodGriefGoodGodShow ▶ Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/GoodGriefGoodGodShow ▶ TikTok:  https://www.tiktok.com/GoodGriefGoodGodShow ▶ Twitter:  https://twitter.com/GoodGriefGoodGd 🎥 YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/@goodgriefgoodgodshow?sub_confirmation=1 🎧 Apple Podcast:  https://apple.co/3Ta8GCm 🎧 IHeart:  https://www.iheart.com/podcast/338-good-grief-good-god-show-h-103469396/ 🎧 Spotify:  https://open.spotify.com/show/2Q33CbSC50WFJWC6NLjqSs 🟥 CONTACT INFORMATION ▶ BRAD & MICHELLE WARREN, Executive Producers ▶ MATT PEVETO, Producer/Showrunner – Matt@MattPeveto.com ▶ LISA BOULLT, Segment Producer & Guest Booker – Lisa@WarrenBrothers.com

We have literally shared a 30-year career. He might be the best human being I know, and when the shit hits the fan, you most definitely want him on your team. We don’t agree on everything (that would make for a really boring conversation) but we have shared more of the same life experience than any other 2 people I know. It’s crazy how much Brett and I feel the same thing at the same time so often. It’s probably how we’ve written 2,500 songs together. Or maybe it’s the 2,500 songs that have made us so close. Either way, this was a unique experience for me, and I’m grateful to my brother for so many things it’s difficult for me to express. For part one of the season finale, Brett & I had a cozy and, at times, funny conversation about music, faith, family, friends, and the podcast. For Part Two, coming out on Tuesday, September 19, we waste no time diving into grief and the loss of Sage. Part two was extremely difficult in a few places, and you’ll know what I’m referring to when you see it. With that said, Michelle and I promised each other when we started this show that we would be authentic, with raw and honest conversation, no matter what, and this one is definitely authentic. – Brad 🟥 17 AGAIN:  A STORY OF LIFE AFTER LIFE (LISA BOULLT, AUTHOR) ▶ LEARN ABOUT LISA & HER BOOK BY VISITING/CLICKING 👉 https://linktr.ee/lisaboullt ▶ WEBSITE 👉 http://www.17againthebook.com/ ▶ PURCHASE NOW 👉https://books2read.com/17Again?fbclid=IwAR3vNmtW6GmIvBRk0OhlbR4N6SeYBmzyKbfOXzqP-P-3ZUVrnjc4m-Ts7v0 🟥 CONTACT INFORMATION ⬤ BRAD & MICHELLE WARREN, Executive Producers ⬤ MATT PEVETO, Producer/Showrunner (Advertising & Sponsorship Opportunities) – Matt@MattPeveto.com / (713) 859-3929 ⬤ LISA BOULLT, Segment Producer & Guest Booker – Lisa@WarrenBrothers.com
