Growing up I'm sure you had a big hairy dream that you were certain you were going to accomplish. Whether to be a fireman or police officer, or to live in a castle on the hill. We grew up on, and lived by our dreams. In reality we lived IN our dreams. Yet, as we grew older those dreams started to slowly slip away. Adulthood sets in and so does this thing we call "reality". And slowly but surely our dreams begin to slip away to the dark recesses of our tired and weary brain. Occasionally they pop their heads up, reminding us that they're still there, waiting for us to come rescue them like the damsel in distress that they are. But we convince ourselves no. The time has come to say goodbye to the classroom. After 15 years in education, my career as a classroom teacher is over.
