The journey to becoming the go-to expert in your field
Listen on your podcast app:                      You do not need to know everything about business to get started and position yourself as the go-to expert in your field.   You do not even need to have something to sell to get started!  The key is to be passionate about the change you want to see. Then, put one foot in front of the other to create that change. This is exactly what Furkan did.  In this episode, she shares how she went from feeling frustrated by not seeing enough women like her in the Tech industry to launching her business and becoming the go-to expert in her field in less than two years.  You become a reference in your industry when you support and surround yourself with experts who share the same mission. Furkan Karayel is multi award winning diversity and inclusion speaker and author of the best selling book “Inclusive Intelligence: How to be a Role Model for Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace”. Furkan lectures at the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Master’s program at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She is a board member for Women For Election, which supports women to succeed in Irish Politics. The influence of your subconscious mind on your business
Listen on your podcast app:                      Fear, overwhelm, procrastination and the inability to make decisions are often the symptoms signaling that something is stopping you from creating the results you want in your business.   Sometimes, it is simply the results themselves, or lack of results, that will indicate it is time to THINK and behave differently to bring your vision to reality, and make the big impact you want to see.   As soon as you start recognizing how your subconscious mind influences the way you show up in your life and your business, you will open the door to many opportunities for change and transformation.  There were two major moments in my entrepreneurial journey where I felt stuck. It is only when I realized how my subconscious mind what was holding me back that I could start addressing the real issue and making the transformation I needed.   Take back the control of your subconscious mind to drive the results and the change you want. One of the tools that I used was hypnotherapy, with the support of the certified hypnotherapist Penny Chiasson.  I invited her to debunk some of the myths around hypnotherapy, and share her expertise on how you can gain control of your subconscious mind to create the results you want.  Penny Chiasson is an award-winning Board Certified Hypnotist, #1 International Best Selling author and hosts the Penny, On Your Thoughts podcast. She is a Certified Professional Hypnosis Instructor, contributes to two industry journals and sits on the advisory board of the International Association of Hypnosis Professionals.  For 25 years, Penny worked as a nurse and nurse anesthetist. During that time, Penny learned of the power of the mind to heal the body through hypnosis. In 2019, Penny walked away from healthcare to focus her attention on creating a unique and individualized approach to help others achieve personal success by healing their relationship with themselves. Penny has worked with leading coaches, influencers, CEOs and business leaders in 23 countries on 6 continents.  What you will learn:

TN298: From digital nomads to boundless families – With Mauro Repacci
At the time this episode aired, Tandem Nomads is soon turning eight! Oh boy… the world has certainly changed since the first episode aired. For that reason, Tandem Nomads podcast will soon undergo major changes. Stay tuned! But before I share more about that, this episode represents one of the many significant shifts that have occurred in the past few years.  Although the community of Tandem Nomads doesn't necessarily identify as digital nomads, paying attention to how digital nomads have evolved can teach us a lot about aligning our lifestyle with our business, even if we don't necessarily want to travel all the time. In fact, the digital nomads of a decade ago are now older and have families of their own, but they still don't want to sacrifice their freedom and lifestyle flexibility.  But is it even possible to live and work from anywhere (not just from home) and move every couple of months with children? What about the kids' education? Mauro Repacci found an innovative solution to allow families to live on the move like digital nomads, work from anywhere, while providing all the stability they need in terms of work, community, and education for their kids. Another important topic we cover in this episode is how to avoid burnout as entrepreneurs. While the reason for starting a portable business might be to have more flexibility and time for ourselves, it can easily lead to the opposite result, as making a business truly successful and profitable can lead to overwhelm. Running a business should be like running a marathon, not a sprint. Mauro Repacci is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record in the travel, relocation, and fintech industries. He began his career at Air Canada, where he played a key role in several major projects, including the acquisition of the 787 and the launch of a low-cost airline. Following the completion of his MBA at Queen's University, he went on to found the largest online relocation marketplace in Canada, which was later acquired by an immigration firm. More recently, he founded and scaled VC-backed fintech company NestReady to 40 employees and 20 enterprise clients before it was acquired by Alpine Investors. With three daughters, Mauro developed the idea for Boundless while seeking solutions for his family. What you will learn:What innovative solutions Boundless offers to enable families to live on the move while maintaining the stability they need. How to find a balance between working hard to make a business successful and living an intentional life without feeling overwhelmed. How to manage risks and failures when running a business. [Refresh Series] The impact of the invisible workload on caregivers and gender equity

[Refresh Series] Harnessing your own evolution through your brand and business with Sundae Bean
What exactly is a ‘brand evolution’? Just like a personal evolution, a brand also requires the creator to dig deep and ask the hard questions like:Am I showing up in a way that feels good and is helpful to my audience?Does my design style represent the vibe and vision I want to portray? Is my brand still showcasing my values? In this episode, Sundae Bean uncovers how a brand's evolution directly correlates to one’s willingness to adapt and change to their own world, and to the one around them. “There was enough discomfort and clarity to push me to change.” Sundae takes listeners on her personal brand evolution, providing insights about how to get the most out of the process. She expounds on what true growth might feel like within your body and how to work with it. She also discusses how to collaborate with outside agencies to help you through this journey. Sundae Schneider-Bean is an intercultural strategist, a transformation facilitator, and a solution-oriented coach.
