How the Podcast Came to Be and What it Means [Storytime] - Venture Casually #4 - Ft. Wendy & Anthony
Wendy takes the reigns in this episode as she interviews the host and creator of Venture Casually, Anthony Thai; that's me, the person writing up this description. How meta can it get?    Get to know us a bit more as we reveal a bit more about our personal lives. Hear the harrowing story of how we made our relationship work out. Dive a little deeper with us into the thoughts and feelings behind the birth of the podcast. Hear about the path we traveled to reach the start of the podcast, and where we want to take it in the future. See what it means for us to Venture Casually.   I'm Anthony Thai, a Chinese-American young adult male who is always looking to spice up his life. I knew the old school "American Dream" was never my fit. I've put myself through the wringer of creative pursuits in attempts to escape the bland and boring life for a while now.    The trials and errors have thrown me on a roller coaster of mental states and I finally think I found something that I want to do for me, but with hopes that I can one day help others, who are also seeking something fresh.   Venture Casually is a stand for my mental health and my ambitions for something beyond the beaten path. This is the tough road less-traveled and I couldn't be happier taking it.   The lovely lady conducting the interview this time around is Wendy, my baby girl sugar mama daddy YASS queen. She has been an astounding presence and a wind at my back, especially when it comes to me shooting for the stars. I couldn't possibly thank her for the amount of support that she's given throughout this journey and I hope that one day I can repay the favor in some way through this podcast.   Thank you for the continual support from my friends and anyone genuinely tuning in! I hope to keep this going; not only for me but for everyone out there to keep Venturing Casually!

Mental Health & Dance vs Toxic Family Value [/w Tips] - Venture Casually #3 - Ft. Shareef Alwarasneh
Overcoming looming family traditions and restrictive cultural values is a very difficult task. Finding the separation and balance between the self and the family can be extremely stressful, draining, and can feel like a very lonely road. However, we're not alone in these thoughts and feelings; there is light at the end of the tunnel.   Let's hear it from Shareef, who hailed from a very stringent Arabic background and toxic and judgemental family relations, as he continues his journey of self-discovery and self-love. Follow along, as he explains his cultural background and how he chose his own mental health and happiness above all else, all while busting some fresh moves on the dance floor!   Shareef had to break through seemingly impossible barriers for the sake of his self-expression and mental health. In response to these challenges, he graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and is currently working on his Master's in Mental Health Counseling. He aims to empathize with each client's unique circumstances and give them a place of understanding as they battle the struggles that once plagued him, as well as many others. He hopes his efforts can contribute to connecting the world and get different groups of people to come into communication and understanding of one another. In this crazy world,  moments of love and understanding are much appreciated.   Find more Shareef:  IG: https://www.instagram.com/introspected
