Our Editor's Take

TALK MURDER TO ME is a true crime podcast about misdeeds from across the globe. The hosts of the show are friends Jon, Jen, and Nicole. In every podcast episode, the hosts scour the internet for strange and unusual murders. They take listeners to Dublin, Ireland, to meet Linda and Charlotte Mulhall. In 2005, the Mulhalls murdered and dismembered their mother's boyfriend. They then threw his body parts into a canal. Why? Because he had made a pass at one of them. A passerby saw a leg floating in the water and alerted police.

Another episode of the podcast brings listeners to Russia. There, a man convicted of ritualistic murder and cannibalism walks free. He was serving a 20-year sentence in a penal colony when he volunteered to fight for the Russians in Ukraine. After his tour in a special unit composed of convicts, he received a pardon from Putin.

Some of the crimes in TALK MURDER TO ME are closer to home but no less strange for it. Courtney Clenney was an OnlyFans model who lived with her boyfriend, Christian. Their relationship was combative, and neighbors often heard them fighting. Then Christian died from a knife wound. Courtney claimed self-defense. But forensic evidence went against her story. The case broke open when a video surfaced of Courtney hitting Christian.

In another episode, the hosts tell the story of Tim Bliefnick. Once a contestant on Family Feud, he made a sinister joke about marriage. Years later, he killed his estranged wife after years of emotionally abusing her.

While the podcast focuses on murder cases, some episodes examine other interesting crimes. The hosts tell listeners about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of 1911. There, 146 workers died in the fire because the bosses locked the exit doors. It was a significant event in the creation of the modern labor movement.

TALK MURDER TO ME may be a great choice for true crime fans. Those looking for new gruesome stories from far away might appreciate the podcast. Each episode is about 30-60 minutes long. New episodes air on a weekly schedule.
