Answering the question many have asked, if I could do it all over again, would I still become a physical therapist.  Just so you know, this one is a little heavy.

Try to hide as you might, we rehab professionals can read you like a book.  Let me explain what I mean...

Sometimes it's difficult for us humans to look outside of our own personal experiences.  In this episode, I hope to give context to what can happen to someone when life really screws them over.  My hope is that it can help to give some perspective on one's experience versus another's.

The title says it all.  I'm just going to tell a story of an event in my practice.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.

This one is for providers.  I cannot stress this enough: We do not know as much as we think we do.  Be careful how sure you are about a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or even just judgement calls in daily life.

This is simply my take on physical therapy practice.  It's not meant to be a guide to being a better physical therapist.  It's only me sharing my path with others.

There's no shortage of information out there about good and bad providers.  However, patients, have you ever thought about what your responsibility is in the healthcare relationship?  This is not an episode to wag fingers.  It's only to give you insight into how things work that will allow you to get the most out of your healthcare experiences.

Let's have a frank discussion about what is verbally stated versus what is actually happening.  Providers and patients should get something out of this one...even with all the math I talk about.
