Ep. #072 - We've been gone the past couple of weeks on vacation and holidays, but we're back to kick off 2024. Ep. #071 - Another week closer to the day with the fat man and gifts and we’re trying to survive end of year festivities as we watch some MMA and discuss our weeks. We chat about how work pot lucks can be a nightmare for people like me who don’t quite trust strangers’ cooking. I talk about how I can cook with actual raw ingredients, while impressing my mother in law. I find out impetigo is not the same disease as vitiligo. I complain about unnecessary abbreviations and the downfall of intelligence. I remember helping a younger coworker through his first moments of corporate work and how its hard to have fun at those environments today. My wife found out what her Christmas gift is, but has to pretend to be surprised for our kids. Home ownership is proving to be a pain as everything breaks down around us this year. Ep. #070 - It finally happened… The contact lenses fitting has come and gone and now there are new eye woes in the house. We enjoy talking crap about our little Neanderthal toddler that refuses to try to say anything and just grunts to get his way (… and it’s working). We chat about the sometimes compromising awkward moments in grappling training, coming back to training and being uncomfortable, and how you should get your whole family to train. Ep. #069 - How thankful were we? Thankful enough! Wife had to work all day while I entertained the kids at home and prepared everyone for Thanksgiving. Our oldest decided she would contribute to the holiday food by making her very first apple pie. The time for Christmas decorations has begun as we got everyone to work to put up lights and stuff. Once again, we can’t have anything nice since our “keeping up with the Joneses” neighbor makes it difficult to enjoy anything around here. We read about the music festival that may have blinded attendees and our experience with going to see Christmas lights (no one was blinded thankfully). Ep. #065 - We are back from a Fall Festival day at the amusement park… and our middle kid found a friend in the crowds. We realize that we really wouldn’t go to amusement parks if we weren’t parents. Ep. #064 - We’re back in studio and with better audio (SORRY!!!). We catch up on what we actually did during our anniversary trip. We talk about forging knives, how we’re probably not responsible enough for knives, and how I wish I could build a forge in our home. How I’m pretty good at writing people off and literally filing them under “dead to me” so I can live on ignoring them. Bekah books yet another iffy hotel, and tries to defend her poor choices. After downtown hippie shops ran their course (about 30 minutes) we realized we’re home bodies and even when we travel without the kids we talk about them the whole time. We chat about the fun times of having a kid that sleep walks and has night terrors that will freak out any parent. Our oldest kid attended a tea party at her friend’s house and our middle kid keeps telling us she’s having friends over our home for sleepovers we know nothing about. Our oldest also recruited one of her best friends to start her own Brazilian jiujitsu journey and it was awesome to have another student join us. Ep. #063 - We’re on our way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After a work week where we both were just looking forward to leaving for the weekend, we finally get in the car and head out. It feels weird to not have the kids with us on a trip. I get made fun of for my grandma like driving and we talk about speeding tickets. Ep. #061 - Coming right off an UFC Fight Night event, we catch up and wind the week down. Our oldest one tells us how she doesn’t know the difference between brown sugar and coffee grounds, and we’re upset we missed the incident. Ep. #060 - We come in a little tipsy from a long game series of flip cup, dealing with colds, and I apparently come in with “harsh” jokes. We were surprised with a fake bomb threat at a middle school that kept our oldest out of class for the day. I talk about a mischievous kid back in my school days that actually turned out alright (and he’s doing quite well as an adult). Bekah lets out a horrible fart mid recording that could be considered chemical warfare. Is sleep farting a thing? I don’t believe so… Bekah goes in the wild and realizes she can block people out with headphones. Ep. #059 - Not the most memorable week, BUT we had a few nuggets of fun for sure. We talk about a few movies we’ve watched (since Bekah is an “uncultured swine”) and made a few good recipes to go with them. A rare snake hawk attack happened and we look at the aftermath. Is the hawk a hero or foe? You decide! We laugh at how Brazilian police wakes up criminals and Bekah doesn’t know what “antiquing” is (maybe will find out soon enough). A white chick gets checked by Bambi’s mom. Two scummy criminals are taken on a thrilling ride and change their tone really quick. We see some Canadians being not so nice, but he still sounds very polite at the end; and we discuss how you’ll get cut in a knife attack almost always. How I’ve seen corporate pencil neck spineless people get politely forced  by homeless people constantly by going to the ATM to get them money. I took our oldest with our neighbor and his daughter to Monday Night Raw, and we were all thoroughly impressed with the show AND people watching. Ep. #058 - Internet is down, so we drink! We get ready for the Labor Day weekend as I will have all the kids solo. Baby showers, recessive genes, and how we have beaten the odds for those genes somehow. How my family may have gotten “Ellis Island’ed” in Brazil as we lost the spelling of a family name. We also learn about penis implants and erectile dysfunction, is it pretty much old school Puma pumps??? How I’m apparently “hard to shop for” since I’m surrounded by uncultured swine! Bekah talks butt surgery and cleanup; we suggest installing bidets in all hospital rooms and decide we want a fancier one. The world seems to be united in ridiculing climate activists.
