Host Brandy Maslowski began quilting to decompress from a high-stress workday. She became a certified quilt judge after retiring from being a firefighter. Brandy travels the world on quilting adventures. She is respected in the community, with many speaking and teaching engagements worldwide. Brandy's mantra is "More Joy, Less Overwhelm." The host set out to share the joy and creativity of quilting with others and is succeeding. Brandy relaunched The Quilter on Fire Podcast in 2020.

On the podcast, listeners hear more about Brandy's life story and passion for quilting. Guests also share how and why they started quilting. Cindy Seitz-Krug's first quilting class was with her mother. She shares how the experience opened her mind and heart up to quilting.
