The Many Faces of Saturn: Elders, Somatics, and Mythopoetics
Season Two, Episode Three: The Many Faces of Saturn: Elders, Somatics, and MythopoeticsThe astrology of the week ahead covered in this episode is Mercury’s station direct in Capricorn and the sun’s annual conjunction with Pluto (also in Capricorn). There’s some weight or meat to the energy this week. While it’s not always fun, Cory invites listeners to use this time to befriend the Pluto process. During the second part of the show Cory is joined by astrologer Nate Speare for a conversation about all things Saturn. Cory and Nate discuss the Saturnian archetype, Capricorn, Aquarius, somatics, age and elderhood. We also hear more about Nate’s consulting practice, which includes mythopoetics and astro-erotics. Nate Speare (he/they/firebird) is an astrologer, vocal artist, storyteller, mythologist, and educator based in Brooklyn. Nate began their public astrological journey as Montgomery Taylor’s teaching assistant at the CG Jung Institute of NYC (at the Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism). Nate’s background in avant garde performance, experimental voice work, bodywork & mythopoetics shape their experiential approach to astrology. For years they’ve led therapeutic storytelling circles, in settings ranging from public schools to Rikers Island to the United Nations. Two key threads in their astrological practice include Astro-Erotics- a tool for using the chart to deepen into relationships & sexuality- and Ancestral Patterns in Astrology, a journey into the wounds & gifts of ancestry. They strive to aid everyone who works with them in the journey toward pleasure, beauty, integrity, myth & magic. Nate directs Mythopoetic Astrology, a consulting practice that integrates experiential therapy, astro-drama, body work, sound healing & counseling. Nate is a certified Urban Tantra practitioner, a student of the Wheel of Consent and holds a MFA in Contemporary Performance. New Year's Day Episode

New Year's Day Episode
Happy New Year! In this New Year’s Day episode Cory and Mandee share a brief reflection on 2022, the weekly astro-weather, a full moon report and answer questions. If you’d like to share your 2022 reflections or have ideas for future shows/guest suggestions - email us! We love engaging with you. thecosmicdispatch@gmail.com - Speaking of engaging with you: the first edition of our new newsletter will be sent out this week! Join here. Exciting news for 2023: Cory has taken over the astrology writing at Chronogram. Each month Cory will be writing a monthly forecast and horoscopes for each sign. You can read online or in print. Go to choronogram.com for more information. The astro-weather in this episode gives a run down of the Month of January and starting January first. The month of January helps set new things in motion - eventually. This month we have Mars, Mercury and Uranus all stationing direct. This will create a tonal shift, though it may be slow to start. The astrology of the week includes: Venus conjunct Pluto (in Capricorn), Venus’s ingress into Aquarius, Cancer full moon. Questions answered in this episode:I’d like to talk about the difference (and overlap) between the primordial tidal waters of Cancer and the amniotic fluid that is Pisces. Is this just… water element stuff? Cancer - ebbs and flows Pisces - less “ebb and flow” more, “just is”. I have heard astrologers say things like “there are no bad placements” and “there are no bad aspects”, but then I hear words like “opposition” and “tension” and that makes me think “bad”. Which is it? I have Mercury and Saturn both retrograde in my natal chart. I feel like I have a pretty decent grasp on the Mercury retrograde thing as it relates to the collective, but I am curious what it (and Saturn retrograde) represent in a natal chart? The show airs live on Radio Kingston in Kingston New York every Sunday at 4pm est. This week we are moving past some of the more tense aspects of the past couple of weeks, though some of us may find ourselves rambling on or taking extra side quests as this energy shifts. This episode does contain mature themes. While there is nothing graphic or explicit in this episode, some parts of the conversation may not be appropriate for younger listeners.Myisha Battle is a certified sex and dating coach, educator and author. How do I get my desire back? I always want to know how many times a week or month other couples have sex. Not because comparison is important but more so because I often feel crazy pressing my partner on the subject and don’t know how to convey the importance of intimacy for mental and physical health. I’ve been wondering about “opening up my marriage” but have not been sure how to approach this topic with my partner? Eclipse Season Part 2: Lunar Eclipse Taurus
Nov 6 2022
Eclipse Season Part 2: Lunar Eclipse Taurus
Ep 47 - Eclipse Season Part 2: Lunar Eclipse TaurusIn this episode Cory and astrologer Mandee Sheeler devote a great deal of time parsing out the upcoming total lunar eclipse in Taurus on November 8th. The whole week is studded with intense transits, and they talk about those as well. In the second half of the show they dig into listener emails and answer some astrology questions. There is no shortage of content about this upcoming eclipse because as Cory puts it: “it's like the astrological super bowl”. There are many considerations to me made and many possible outcomes. This “big” astrology of the week is the eclipse (which happens on the same day as the US Midterm election) but there is also a lot of other movement as well. This week we also have: Venus square Saturn, the lunar eclipse, Mercury cazimi - opposite the Taurus full moon, Venus opposing Uranus, full moon is conjunct Uranus… there’s a lot! Questions answered in this episode:Is astrology a “science”,  “religion” or something else? Can you explain the mechanism of astrology? How does astrology work? This eclipse (on 11/8) is happening at the same degree of my sun. I have tried to look up what this could mean but most of the stuff I have found hasn’t sounded all that great. My family is gathering for my birthday but I’m feeling anxious and don't want to go. I’m scared I will be nervous the whole time and come across as ungrateful. I guess from the sounds of it I should stay home and hide under the covers all day? What am I supposed to do and how can I not let this fear ruin my day. Are eclipses really THAT big of a deal? I am a Taurus sun and as silly as it seems, being called stubborn gets under my skin. Yes, I can be stubborn at times, but I don’t feel like that's fair to say all the time. I think especially with family they can sometimes dismiss me as “being stubborn” and won’t take me seriously. Other times being called stubborn makes me question if I’m really being “too firm” or if the other person just doesn't have the same values/like the boundaries I have. Is there a way you could help me reframe or work with this? I am learning and just started really getting deeper into Astrology. I have a lot of fixed energy in my chart and NO planets in fire at all. Any suggestions on how to work with this knowledge? You can read Mandee’s full moon report at The St. Louisan.Show Host: Cory Nakasue - www.astrologybycory.com - @bodyintel on InstagramGuest/Producer: Mandee Sheeler - www.mandeesheeler.com - @mandeesheeler on Instagram The show airs live on Radio Kingston in Kingston New York every Sunday at 4pm est. Ep 42 - Mercury Stations Direct: Neurodivergence and Creative CollaborationToday's show celebrates Mercury's station direct after three weeks of being retrograde, and how this serves as an apt symbol for neurodivergence. Due to copyright laws we aren’t able to upload the full version of the show for streaming. Because of this we have created a playlist on spotify - you can listen all month long! All of the appropriate information can be found on our profile. This week we have the Libra New Moon which is in opposition to Jupiter in Aries. In this episode, Cory shares what this means and offers tips on how to work with this energy. All in all, the astro-weather this week is pretty quiet with an emphasis on the element of air. (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.) This may have us feeling “in our heads” or tending to our ideas. We may find ourselves asking questions or gathering information. This is not a time for “doing”. Libra New Moon Playlist: Get The Balance Right! - Depeche ModeEasy Plateau - Ryan Adams & The CardinalsWe Can Work It Out - The BeatlesSmooth Operator - Sade This Charming Man - The Smiths Popular - Kristin ChenowethVenus - Shocking Blue You’re My Best Friend - QueenSteady As She Goes - The Raconteurs Show Host: Cory Nakasue - www.astrologybycory.com - @bodyintel on InstagramThe show airs live on Radio Kingston in Kingston New York every Sunday at 4pm est. Libra Season: The Relationship Episode

Libra Season: The Relationship Episode
Ep 40 - Libra Season: The Relationship EpisodeBalance, harmony & equanimity are all keywords that may come to mind when you think of Libra, but during this episode Cory offers another consideration: the entity that is the relationship between ourselves and others. Today we introduce Libra season, aka the autumnal equinox which happens on September 22nd. Libra begins the process of relating to things and people that are "not me." Partnerships, contracts, and agreements come under the jurisdiction of Libra, and in the spirit of the season Cory is joined by her partner at The Cosmic Dispatch, Mandee Sheeler. The weekly astro-weather is covered, and in the second half of the show Cory introduces the practice of synastry, which is what astrologers use when they work with more than one natal chart. The show finishes with relationship Q&A from the audience. In this very Libra episode Cory covers the astrology of the week which includes: the autumnal equinox, a Mercury cazimi (at zero degrees of Libra), retrograde Mercury makes their re-entrance into Virgo - where it meets up with Venus, plus a Venus-Neptune opposition. This week the Sun meets up with Mercury at 0 degrees of libra and in the show Cory explains the significance of this degree and what that means for world events. Questions covered in this show:Recently a friend pointed out that I somehow always seem to attract the same sign. I have always been a bit skeptical of astrology, but now that I look back, so many of my partners share the same sun sign. I can’t help but wonder if there’s maybe something more to this whole astrology thing but have no clue where to go to get more information about this specifically. Can you help?I have struggled to connect with others all of my life. I recently started dating someone new and feel like this is the real deal but I have been anxious and scared to fully commit because of my past experiences. I’m curious if there are any placements or charts that could help maybe give me a new perspective? I have Aquarius sun and Scorpio moon if that helps.I would really like to get a synastry chart for me and my partner but we don’t know their exact birth time. I have tried to get more information: for example was it daylight or nighttime - but haven’t had any luck. He and his family are all skeptical and don’t really understand the importance of exact birth time. Is there anything I can do without any information about their exact time of birth? I’m also curious if you have any advice for dealing with partners that don't “believe” in astrology. I see astrology as a tool to help us gain another perspective on how to live together and navigate certain parts of our relationship, but I’m being met with skepticism and cynicism. Any advice? The show airs live on Radio Kingston in Kingston New York every Sunday at 4pm est. The show is then re-broadcast on KMWV 98.3fm in Portland, Salem & Eugene Oregon at 7pm pt. Full Moon Pisces/Mercury Retrograde Libra

Full Moon Pisces/Mercury Retrograde Libra
Ep 39 - Full Moon Pisces/Mercury Retrograde LibraIn honor of Mercury's recent retrograde, this Full Moon/Q&A episode begins with a little backtracking, and a call for participants for a new feature: Astrology Clinic! If you are interested in taking part in an astrological clinic/support group - email us! We are looking to connect others with similar natal placements and chat about experiences. Please email us at: thecosmicdispatch@gmail.com with your information and any placements you would like to discuss if you are interested. Technically the Pisces full moon talked about in this show peaked yesterday. This lunation is asking us to zoom out. Pisces is the intuitive, feelings led sign of the zodiac. Virgo season has been busy this year, it’s time to rest and relax a bit. We recently had Mercury station retrograde in Libra and is in mutual reception with Venus. This is a supportive position and can feel like Mercury and Venus “have each other’s backs”. Soon, Mercury will slide back into Virgo and we may feel like we need to retreat and make some edits in some area of life. In this episode, Cory reminds listeners that Mercury Retrograde isn’t a time to hide in bed - but rather a time to be more intentional. This is a time to revisit past issues, clean up relationships and tend to anything that may have gotten swept under the rug. This week Venus will make a square with Mars and may leave us feeling a bit “in our heads” or hyper focus on problems that may not even be grounded in reality. At the end of the show Mandee makes an announcement about where to read her moon reports beginning next month! The questions answered in this episode are: Do either of you have any full moon rituals?I have a first house Pisces stellium and have struggled with addiction off and on my whole life. I have heard that Pisces is the sign associated with addiction, but don’t understand how Pisces and addiction correlate. Could you please explain how or why Pisces is the sign of addiction?I recently discovered my natal Mercury is retrograde. I have Mercury in Pisces, retrograde, in my 4th house. I’m curious how Mercury being retrograde in my chart impacts this placementAside from consulting with others about their charts, what other ways do you use astrology? I’m generally curious about what other ways people use this practice. If you would like your question answered on the air - please send us an email! We love hearing from the audience. Show Host: Cory Nakasue - @bodyintel on Instagram - www.astrologybycory.comGuest: Mandee Sheeler - @mandeesheeler on Instagram - www.mandeesheeler.comThe show airs live on Radio Kingston in Kingston New York every Sunday at 4pm est.
