Perry, Georgia, is turning 200 years old in 2024, and we're celebrating all year long!
In this episode, Mrs. Ellie Loudermilk, President of the Perry Area Historical Society & Museum, narrates the story of the Commander of the First Army in the Western European Campaign of World War II, General Courtney Hicks Hodges.
Hodges was born in Perry, Georgia, in 1887 and went on to have an outstanding military career, receiving many honors and awards not only from the United States but also from the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Argentina, Russia, and Luxembourg.
