When one of the most unforgettable days of Erica R Walker’s life turned into a “forgettable”night - life as this planner and goal driven young lady knew changed forever.  It was a celebratory time that turned into the greatest test of her life after she received a gunshot wound to the head in June 1, 2008. Determined not to allow her brain injury to stop her dreams, she later continued her educational endeavors, became an author of two books, “ and “Dear June 1st: A Story of Trauma, Struggle & Purpose, which is about her life-changing injury.
