Mike and John return to recap a surprisingly disappointing Open Championship from Royal Liverpool. Andy is on assignment this week. It was a decisive win for Brian Harman, who won his first career major over the weekend. We'll chat about the big win, the trouble that Harman had to start his third round and how he got out of it. We'll also discuss the rest of the field who were in contention like Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka, and Rory McIlroy.Later we offer some other quick hitters about the course and the broadcast. Time permitting, we'll chat about some other scenarios in pro golf and what's to come for the rest of the season.

Our golf panel featuring Mike in North Jersey, John in CT, and Andy in Seattle is back to chat about a very strange U.S. Open from LA Country Club.   Wyndham Clark is the winner this year edging out Rory McIlroy at a club that had been roundly criticized throughout the weekend.  Was it really as bad as social media depicted?   Later we'll look ahead to the Travelers Championship then we'll discuss the merger between the PGA Tour and the LIV tour that shook up the golf world.

The golf panel returns!  Mike in North NJ and John in CT re-join Dave to recap a thrilling, and most eventful PGA Championship from Oak Hill in Rochester, NY.   Rain made for very ugly conditions and uglier performances during the 3rd round, but the final round on Sunday made up for it with some incredible golf.  Brooks Koepka outlasted Viktor Hovland in what was a great back nine, and despite a really good round from Scottie Scheffler, he still had too much of a hole from Saturday.  The panel get into the big win for Koepka and what the potential impact is the LIV tour where he plays. Plus: our usual surprises and disappointments and a look ahead to the rest of the golf schedule.

Our long-time sports podcast friend Tom in NJ joins us for this "second pilot" episode of The Sandwich Corner.  On the show, we filled in our Twitch audience on how Tommy and Dave met, then we got into some NBA, talk, golf, candy discussion, and a bunch of great Random Q's from folks in chat, including friends from the DITCOW days and newer friends from the Sam Fam.  Tommy's 3 year old son Landon was the real star of the show, dazzling the rest of us with his charisma and trying to eat Smarties that Dave threw at him. It was a great way to test out the new audio setup and start our new companion sub-series within the Sandwich Show on Twitch.

We made some key connection changes from the mixer to the computer and I think second pilot, or "version 1.5" breaks down how we cleaned up the connections, but also created a new problem of extremely low sound output to the computer. It's always something!  Anyway, enjoy this extremely short update that's hopefully a lot better sounding than the first pilot.

Dave (Davy) tests out all the audio after a series of equipment updates, plus we share the latest on what's coming up on the Sandwich Show Q&A series, what's to come for this podcast, and some anecdotes about last week's Sandwich Show Twitchiversary Special.  Note: This is a pilot for the re-purposing of the podcast, but the podcast itself is still a continuation of Sandwich Sports.  The old episodes of Sandwich Sports/DITCOW will remain on this feed for the forseeable future.

Mike, John, and Andy re-join Dave to recap a very thrilling 2023 Masters Tournament that had it all: nasty weather that prompted lengthy delays and tree-falling hazards, an exciting leaderboard with Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka going toe to toe most of the weekend, and many historic moments including Phil Mickelson's tie for 2nd making him the oldest to finish in 2nd place at Augusta National.  The panel recap a brilliant final round by Jon Rahm and quite the opposite from Koepka who went over 18 holes without a birdie on the final day.  Plus we'll get into the other folks in the field from Jordan Spieth to Tiger Woods, and much more!

John in CT, Andy in Seattle, and Tom in NJ are back to recap one  of the best weekends in NCAA Tournament history!  Many huge upsets went down, including the epic 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson upset of the 1-seeded Purdue.   It's only the second time in tournament history it's happened.  Upper seeded Arizona, Kansas, and Baylor also were wiped out over the weekend, and there were many great games throughout all four days so far.   There were also two notable bad beats in tournament action we'll get to as a panel.  Join us as we preview a potentially spectacular weekend of Sweet Sixteen Action.  Among the great matchups, a rematch of the 2006 iconic game between Gonzaga and UCLA.  Both teams are much different these days, and it should be a great clash of styles.    We also preview Arkansas and UConn, both tough teams who have risen of late.   Plus, Florida Atlantic meets Tennessee, and Michigan State featuring the prolific tournament coach Tom Izzo meets Kansas State who just fought off Kentucky in the previous round.  All in all, it sets up to be another chapter in what will be an all time great tournament, and we're excited to give you all the scenarios and potential betting angles.

John in CT and Mike in North NJ are back for the first golf recap of the year, a pre-Majors recap of the last month of pro golf, including the dwindling numbers for the LIV tour, a very underwhelming Players tournament that resulted in a return to glory for Scottie Scheffler, and a new ruling that could change the style of golf balls for the field.  Later, John stays on for an NCAA Tournament Preview, going through the past two weeks of conference tournaments, then a look-ahead to each region of the big tournament as we begin March Madness.  It's a season that many think is wide open for the sports, with no clear-cut favorite to win the championship.  We'll recap everything in one big podcast as Sandwich Sports makes its return.

John in CT and Andy in Seattle join Dave for a preview of Super Bowl LVII between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.   The Chiefs had a dubious path to the Super Bowl which included a lot of bad officiating that went in their favor during the AFC Championship.   The Eagles also were underwhelming in their NFC Championship game, and some key calls bailed them out of a possible 49ers comeback.   The panel will dig into the matchups and make their predictions for the game.  If there's time left over, we'll have a few quick hitters on prop bets, chat about other potpourri, or both.

Incredibly, it's 2023, and we're doing our first Podcast RQ's of the year with our long-time co-host Kevin on the Cape!   We'll catch up, chat about where Kevin and Dave are and the future of the podcast and the Sandwich Show Twitch channel.  As we do, we'll have plenty of potpourri, and we'll be glad to take Random Questions from the chat.

John in CT joins Dave for our final week of Football Picks for the season.  We lead off with the tragic injury for Bills DB Damar Hamlin and his fight for survival at the ICU.   Part of that includes a look at how the NFL will re-shuffle the schedule to make up the ground for the Bills' postponed game vs the Bengals. Later, we recap a WILD, wild fantastic Bowl Season in College Football, preview the CFP Championship between TCU and Georgia, and look ahead to the final regular season week in the NFL.   Plus we share our picks including text picks from Andy, Ron, and Kevin.

We close the calendar year of sports shows with our Week 16 Football Picks show.   We'll have a recap of the NFL action last weekend including a surprisingly close call between the Texans and Cowboys, plus big wins for the 49ers and Lions, and more.   Later, the panel will segue to our Bowl Previews for 2022-23, we'll present the bowls we love and the "bowls we wouldn't watch in our back yard."   Then its our picks for the NFL and for Week 1 of Bowl action!  Happy Holidays from the Sandwich Sports Show!

The panel is back to preview all the Conference Championship games in College Football, including a rematch of USC and Utah to decide the Pac 12 title and a college football playoff berth for USC.  In the NFL, we look ahead to a monster weekend of games and recap an awesome Thanksgiving weekend.  Later we have the picks from both sports as things tighten up in our contest.

The panel (John, Andy, Ron, and Kevin) is back to recap amazing things from last weekend in football.  The Jets pulled a huge upset over the Bills on Sunday, and LSU beat out Alabama in overtime at Baton Rouge.  Notre Dame stomped a Top-5 Clemson team in South Bend, and we had a lot of excitement in both college and pro ball.  The weekend ahead may not be quite as exciting but we'll share all the best matchups in Week 11 plus give you our picks of the week as the contest continues.

We've got a preview of Tennessee/Georgia and Alabama/LSU among our many topics tonight on Football Picks this week.  Andy and John join us on stream while Kevin and Ron send picks via the text.  There are a lot of late night underdogs the panel liked, and other sneaky good games we got into.  We also got into the tough sledding going down in the NFL and our best bets from the pros as well.  It's quite a spirited episode as we get funny comments from TurboSwim and DaraHaydenMusic in Twitch chat while we cover another wild week in football.

Andy, John, and Dave are back after a great week of picks to recap some crummy games in both college and pro football, but there was still juice between the games when the 49ers traded for Christian McCaffrey before their game against the Chiefs.  Despite his great game, the Niners still lost, but it could present a new dimension for San Francisco.   We'll get into the trade, plus look ahead to games in both the NFL and College.  There's a showdown brewing between Kentucky and Tennessee alongside a solid matchup between Oklahoma St. and Kansas St.  In the NFL, we look at the pleasant surprises that are the Giants and Seahawks.  This week, they play each other in what should be a sneaky good game.  Later we have the picks as we try to build off a great Week 8 for the contest.

Our long-time friend of the podcast, Santoro, joins Dave to revisit the old days on TMF.com and their transition over to the new SFZ on Discord.  We also debate a lot of random questions, such as is a hot dog a sandwich, embarrassing things Dave said on the podcast, TV shows, and more. We heard from some names from the Mike Francesa world over in Twitch chat, plus some of the regulars from Dave/Davy's new Sandwich Show, and it was a showcase of worlds colliding as we bridge the past with the present.

It's our first-ever Football Show streamed live on Twitch, as the panel returns to recap an electric Week 8 in football.   Andy, John, and Kevin are scheduled on air, while Ron sends picks via the text.   Tennessee pulls the huge upset over Alabama to remain undefeated, while Utah mounts a big comeback to beat USC in Salt Lake City.   In the NFL, the Bills edge out the Chiefs in a much lower scoring game than expected while it was another battle of attrition with the Broncos, losing out in OT to the Chargers on Monday Night.  The panel recap all the madness, then look ahead to this week's action which appears very disappointing on the NFL side while the College Slate features matchups with some potential with Texas taking on Oklahoma State, Ole Miss taking on LSU, and other games.  Then it's our picks as we continue the contest and try for another solid week against the spread.
