IEE

IEE is the hit comedy panel show podcast from award-losing comedian Sam Wilkinson. Each episode guarantees a wealth of British comedy talent handing out at least one fact, one lesson and mulitple moments of hilarity. It’s ideal for fans, and detractors, of the BBC in general and Radio 4 in particular. Imagine if Radio 4 commissioned any old nonsense and didn’t mind about the swears and you’re on the right track. Or NPR if you're American, I suppose. read less

Episode 3.6 - IT Helpdesk Agent
Oh no! Jingletron has broken down! Is there a comedian out there who's capable of taking on the toughest job interview on the internet to provide IT helpdesk support? Surely one of Annabelle Devey, Becky Heaviside or Adam Tumber has what it takes! But whose only reference to their assigned homework is a spoof in the Simpsons? Who does a surprisingly good 1930s gangster reference? And who wrote a lot of questions for round three that just made everyone sad? Sam, it was Sam.WARNING: Contains The SwearsANNABELLE DEVEY "is certainly a very promising act, and definitely one to watch in the next few years. She’s at times rude, at times very down to earth, but her set is one that will keep you laughing the whole way through" - Mancunian BECKY HEAVISIDE is an absolute champ and long-term IEE veteran. She's a Leeds-based comedian, promoter and all-around good egg and can be found on Instagram @BeckyHeaviside. Episode 3.2 - Non-Copyright Generic European Singing Contest Presenter
It's nearly time for the greatest event of the televisual year, and to celebrate this month IEE is searching for its very own Non-Copyright Generic European Singing Contest Presenter. Adam Tumber, Alex Beighton and Chris Booker are all in the running to be the sparkliest, campiest presenter in town. But who will try everyone's patience with their repeated references to things that happened outside of this episode? Who will politely suffer through it all even though it's very excluding to them? And who doesn't like Eurovision because they're "a fan of music"? Don't worry, that last one isn't any of the cast.WARNING: Contains The SwearsALEX BEIGHTON was birthed out of the Soho Theatre Stand Up Comedy Labs kicking, screaming and covered in amniotic fluid. Published in Coroney Baloney, t'ART Online and a writer on CNT Productions' 'The Sex Scene', Alex is also regularly gay and gross in front of willing audiences across the UK.  ADAM TUMBER  is a comedian, MC, quiz show veteran and the man behind Gabriel Jones, corporate Angel.  He's on Twitter @AdamTComedy. CHRIS BOOKER is an irritating demon in the body of a child-man. His raison d'etre is to ruin podcasts. Episode 2.8 - Christmas Special 2021
And so this is Christmas. Inform Educate Entertain welcomes you to the festive season with the most self-indulgent series finale since that bloke came out of the shower and declared it was all a dream. Emma Crossland, Becky Heaviside and Helen Swallow pay a special in-person visit to IEE Towers to spread joy and love around the world and compete to plan the company Christmas party. But who has written Sam the cruelest part in their Christmas play? Who has no respect for the institution of Quality Street? And who is going to be in real trouble with their mum after this episode comes out? Emma. The answer to all of them is Emma. WARNING: contains The Swears and Adult Themes. Really, I mean it this time. Don't listen with your kids.HELEN SWALLOW is a primary school teacher who dabbles in the medium of stand up comedy from time to time. She once ran a comedy night in the before times and will destroy everything you thought you knew about nursery rhymes. Her favourite things are hobnobs, box sets and laughing so hard that occasionally a little wee comes out. She doesn't have an internet presence but she is dead funny like. Episode 2.7 - Continuity Announcer
There's a real end-of-term vibe as IEE races towards the series two finale. But before the final show, three well-spoken comedians hold a showdown to see who will make the finest continuity announcer. But which of them does an incredible valley girl accent? Whose kitchen is on full display during the Zoom call and attracting attention? And who will wrest control of the podcast using an audatious technique I hope nobody else ever tries? WARNING: Contains the Swears, and a bit of unduly dark humour, if you ask me.JACK SHANIK is a doer of oneliners and sundry nonsense who for the purposes of this programme has agreed to undo his tight formal corset and use other forms of speech. The prat. LAURA OLLERTON is a Bath-based comedian (but prefers showers), wordsmith lover and clown-horn impersonator. One time winner of IEE, one time loser, hoping to go away with at least a speed boat today. I don't think she has any Facebook pages or Twitter presence or that stuff but I'm prepared to be corrected.  TERRY KING likes long walks on the beach, stargazing by candlelight, and making his introduction sound a lot like his last dating profile. Episode 2.6 - Head Caterer
Some podcast episodes reach infamy because of the insightful content within. Some podcast episodes reach infamy because of the hilarious content. If this podcast reaches infamy it will be because it's the one that drove Sam Wilkinson to madness.IEE is hungry! Hungry for jokes! Hungry for facts! Hungry for a new Head Caterer! But which of our contestants has the best curry order? Which of them owns a vinyl copy of the Transformers: The Movie soundtrack? And which of them throws repeated strops over not getting enough points even though they never engage properly with the format? Obviously Chris Booker, the last one is clearly Chris Booker.WARNING: Contains The Swears.BEZ ELY is a bisexual Indian Irish gender anarchist who loves telling silly jokes on stage, improvising, acting, singing and playing bad guitar. Episode 2.5 - Costume Designer
IEE is back from its tiny hiatus! The employees are sick of their dull boring clothes so it's time to hire a costume designer to make everyone look all sparkly and nice and that. Three of the most fashionable comedians ever to grace a Zoom call are here to fill the job. But which of our candidates will be first to compliment Sam's cardigan? Which of them can stuff a bit of heavy-handed satire into a play called One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Vest? And who, exactly, is Gef the talking mongoose and why does he deserve so many points?WARNING: Contains The SwearsADAM TUMBER  is a comedian, MC, quiz show veteran and the man behind Gabriel Jones, corporate Angel. Episode 2.4 - Boom Operator
It can't have escaped anyone's notice that Inform Educate Entertain can sound pretty rubbish at times. Luckily, three of the least-capable interviewees we've ever had on the show are here to sort that out. If they can operate a boom mic, so can anyone.  But which of our candidates knows a surprising amount about space travel? Who has written a very rude play indeed? And why is so much of this week's episode about breakfast cereal?WARNING: Contains The Swears and also some rather racy material, if you ask me. Really had to think hard about using the ol' censorship buzzer on this one. ALEX BEIGHTON was birthed out of the Soho Theatre Stand Up Comedy Labs kicking, screaming and covered in amniotic fluid. Published in Coroney Baloney, t'ART Online and a writer on CNT Productions' 'The Sex Scene', Alex is also regularly gay and gross in front of willing audiences across the UK.  CHRIS BOOKER is a grown man in the body of a Queen-obsessed boy. I can basically say what I like about him here because he'll never read this bit. He's alright really, though. His website is  at https://www.chrisbooker.co.uk/ and you can send him fake contact emails all day long, there's nothing he can do about it. TOM SOLAN is a TV producer who has worked for a rival public broadcaster and made lots of shows that you’ve almost certainly never heard of, as well as a few that you probably have heard of but definitely hate. He once caught an egg with a tea spoon and can do a fantastic impression of a tram. I think he's done something on Channel 4's Complaints Welcome? Dunno.
