Our Editor's Take

Robert Kelly's You Know What Dude! is a funny podcast from comedian Robert Kelly. Longtime comedy fans are more than familiar with the host. The underground legend has performed with some of the biggest names in comedy, such as Louis C.K. and Colin Quinn. With this podcast, Robert adds "podcast host" to the actor and stand-up comedian's impressive resume.

Robert has been performing stand-up comedy since the early 1990s. However, national audiences began to notice him after he guested on the Opie and Anthony radio show in the early 2000s. In 2005, he appeared on the HBO comedy documentary series Tourgasm. The series would see him touring with current comedy legends Dane Cook, Gary Gulman, and Jay Davis. In 2022, Robert would release his second hour-long special, Kill Box. He would also appear in the comedy film Fourth of July. Both projects saw him teaming up with longtime friend Louis C.K., who would serve as director for both.

Robert Kelly's You Know What Dude! has the comedian podcasting from above the legendary Comedy Cellar in New York. As one could imagine, Robert has a plethora of comedian friends. Many of these people are New York comedy icons in their own right and have appeared on the podcast. These include comics such as Luis J. Gomez, Mike Cannon, and Paul Virzi. Ari Shaffir and Adam Ferrara have also been guests on the podcast. To no one's surprise, Robert and his guests are hilarious and insightful.

In many ways, this podcast is like spending time with some of one's funniest friends. The podcast has a loose, informal feel that helps the guests feel relaxed. This makes the guests comfortable with the host, who gets them to often be at their most relatable. New episodes of Robert Kelly's You Know What Dude! premiere on Sunday of each week.
