Early Childhood Education
Early childhood education, especially at the preschool level, has become increasingly important for families. To that point, the preschool programs across South Jersey Catholic Schools has seen an increase in enrollment. But, how do you pick the right program for your child?   On the show this week, hosts Marianela Nunez and Mike Bress were joined by Teresa Casanas, Dual-language Pre-K Leader/Teacher at the Dual Language Pre-K program at St. Anthony’s, and Fern Love, Director at Rosebud Academy, Barrington, to discuss their unique preschool programs. The deep and enlightening conversation covered each guest’s journey to Catholic education and their respective locations, the value of including faith and religion for the “little guys”, and the overall importance of early childhood education. The group also talks about what separates each school from other preschool programs, including the dual-language program at St. Anthony’s and the transitional kindergarten program at Rosebud Academy.   If you are interested in learning more about the South Jersey Catholic Schools pre-school programs, including the two mention on this episode, visit  https://southjerseycatholicschools.org/ Listen to Talking Catholic everywhere podcasts can be found, at https://talking.catholicstarherald.org/show/talking-catholic, or catch us on Domestic Church Media radio Sundays at 11 AM or Mondays at 4 PM domesticchurchmedia.org. Samuel Hardy, Catholic Athletes for Christ

Samuel Hardy, Catholic Athletes for Christ
Sports can have a way of bringing a lot of different, diverse groups of people together. So can a common belief in God. What does it look like when faith and sports are brought together?   Hosts Jennifer Mauro and Mike Bress are joined this week by Samuel Hardy, Director of Athletics for Camden Catholic High School to discuss this question and learn more about Catholic Athletes for Christ, a nationally recognized organization that serves Catholic athletes in the practice of their faith and shares the Gospel in and through sports. In this wide-ranging and fun conversation, the group discusses Sam’s own sports resume, his role at Camden Catholic, and how he incorporates the Catholic Athletes for Christ pillars into the 22 different boys’ and girls’ sports that are offered at the high school. The group also discussed the impact the program has on their competition, the opposing coaches, and the families in the stands. Finally, Sam also offered some suggestions on how to bring all of the Diocesan schools and their “Cathletes” in the name of God and sports! (which means Mike Bress has another project!).   To learn more about Catholic Athletes for Christ, visit http://www.catholicathletesforchrist.org/   To learn more about Camden Catholic High School, visit https://www.camdencatholic.org/ Listen to Talking Catholic everywhere podcasts can be found, at https://talking.catholicstarherald.org/show/talking-catholic, or catch us on Domestic Church Media radio Sundays at 11 AM or Mondays at 4 PM domesticchurchmedia.org.
